"Great Hotel"
July, 2018 NEW
We stayed at The Barrington this summer while vacationing in Branson. Everything was perfect. Super clean, beautiful suite, very kind and accommodating staff. The only reason I didn’t give it the full 5 stars is because the outside of the hotel could use a minor update and the breakfast room was very very small which made getting breakfast in the morning a chore. We would wait in line for at least 15 minutes every day just from the setup of this room being so strange. Other than that though, this hotel is one of the better we’ve stayed at here in Branson.

Barrington Hotel staff were friendly & extremely helpful. It was a nice, clean, & pleasant place to stay. It's not too far from theme park. Just get up early enough to get breakfast, because it gets crowded near the end.

"Wasn’t the best"
June, 2018 NEW
The Barrington was nice, but the beds were uncomfortable. There was also this sticky stuff on the floors of my room that we had no idea what it was. I feel like this hotel has great potential, if they just step it up a little bit. I was a little upset since I spent a good amount to stay here and it wasn’t the best.

Tip: Try to get a room in middle or closer to front desk because exit door on end of hotel is used for smokers in /out at night every 5 minutes.Really annoying.

"Problem with Check in & dirty"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5

Check was at 4:00. We arrived at 6:30 & our room wasn’t ready. Three tired kids including a baby. We sat in the lobby for 30+ minutes with no explanation while multiple other people were checked into their rooms. They gave us $10 off for the “inconvenience”. Uncomfortable mattresses - very springy. Rooms needed updating. Paint chips on the walls, beat up vanity in the bathroom, towels had hair that wasn’t ours. The bed skirts had stains. The curtains had little holes everywhere. Breakfast was pretty decent, that’s the only good thing. We probably won’t stay here again.

"Disappointed in Customer Service"
TripAdvisor user rating 2 out of 5
Reviewed July 09, 2018 NEW
Let me start out by saying I travel a lot and the one thing that can help a place to get better reviews even when they may have issues going on is to provide great customer service. Friendliness and a smile can go a long way when you are dealing with tired travelers. We arrived at noon and was told we could not check in until 4pm for our Presidential suite. I was disappointed, because we had been traveling and this was the one day I had hoped to get to relax by the pool for a few hours before we went to see a show we already bought tickets for. I was informed by a rather rude attendant that check in was 4pm no exceptions as she was short, to the point, and never smiled. Didn't have a friendly demeanor at all. So, this was my error for not getting a hotel that would do earlier check in. Lesson learned. However, after spending 4 hours burning time while I had items in my car melting from the heat we return at 3:45 p.m. to be told our room was still not clean and ready. More and more people started showing up being told the same thing.I asked if I could get a refund. By this time I am exhausted and fed up with poor service. The general manager was present and without making eye contact walked off while stating we could be refunded. I was told in order to get this I had to be refunded by Hotels.com. I call them and they told me they called the front desk three times and no one would answer. Well the poor girl was left to man the desk alone with over 20 plus people standing around trying to get into their rooms. We heard 2 different stories from staff quitting on them that morning (doesn't surprise me with the sunshiny personalities we were meeting from the top down) to a computer glitch. I inform the desk that I was doing what I was told for refund, but they were not answering phone. I was then told to tell hotels.com to call again and she would forward to GM. We did this only for hotels.com rep to tell me the GM was stating she could not do anything etc. So, there we stand not getting anywhere. We saw people leave and decide not to stay, and I was trying to do this but was getting no where. Another lady was running late for her show due to this issue. We stood in line again since no one informed us the room was finally clean and we were there before the majority showed up. It was after 4:40 by the time we got signed in and while standing there I hear the GM on the phone (now holding up the lady I spoke to in line that was in a hurry) having a conversation about me to hotels.com and told them I left. I stood there and kept trying to tell her I was standing right there and she still ignored her surroundings and me. My point is as a GM she showed no remorse in this mess, and no eye contact etc to be in this position as if the patrons were the problem. Another couple voiced their same concern that they had come at noon and had to wait so long. Thank goodness the room was clean and nice, but due to the poor customer service I will not go back here and think they lost several other people too from this experience based on what I was hearing. It is not a hotel to stay at for one night if you want to enjoy amenities since you have late check in and early check out and then try to visit shows in the evenings. Might as well stay somewhere cheaper if this is all your going to get is time to sleep only.

"Great place, great price!"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5
Reviewed June 30, 2018 NEW
We had a trip planned to Branson and ended up getting to town earlier than expected. In lieu of camping out in the car for the night, we immediately went the internet to see what type of deal we could get for the night. We found Barrington Hotel and Suites, and we are glad we did. The room was a great price, it was clean, and the beds were comfortable! It was really a great place to stay, even if it was only for a night! Breakfast was also available, and it was a decent variety. The food was very good and we were able to get a few things done after checkout before starting our planned portion of the trip.

Very welcoming, polite and friendly staff. Clean rooms, free breakfast, not on the strip but close enough for us. The rooms have a mini refrigerator for left overs or drinks. There are microwaves available to use. The pool is a good size and there is a hot tub. The price was reasonable. We Would come back again.
