Silver Dollar City Opens 2010 Season with Family Spring Break Days

Silver Dollar City is beginning its 50th year with Family Spring Break Days, an exciting event that opens the park to families during the school year’s spring break for extra fun in Branson. Family Spring Break Days at Silver Dollar City are scheduled for March 18-21 & 25-28. The park hours are 9:30am-6:00pm for the former, and 9:00am-6:00pm for the latter.

Families who attend Spring Break Days will be the first to experience the fun of the all-new Tom & Huck’s RiverBlast, a $7 million dollar super soaking water raft ride themed around the adventures of Tom Sawyer & Huck Finn. This new ride will engage riders and spectators alike as super soaker water guns located on the shore and on the rafts.
Of course, favorite attractions like Fire in the Hole, PowderKeg, Wildfire and The Giant Swing will be open as well for thrilling fun.
Special entertainment is planned for Family Spring Break Days and includes the following performers:
Pure Heart – Harmonizing sisters who perform gospel and country tunes.
Doc Gizmo – A fun, interactive & educational science theater presentation for students of all ages!
Sons of the Silver Dollar – Silver Dollar City regulars serve up cowboy songs with a side of humor.
Homestead Pickers – 1880s style entertainment on the front porch of the McHaffie Homestead.
Families that plan to make Silver Dollar City apart of their Spring Break plans should look into the money-saving Silver Dollar City packages that include a 2-day ticket, so your second day is FREE! You can also add great Branson shows like the Dixie Stampede and Branson attractions like Ride the Ducks to your Silver Dollar City vacation package.
Silver Dollar City tickets are also on sale now.
Please note: Only the shows mentioned above will be performing and a limited number of shops will be open.
