Legendary Entertainer Loretta Lynn to Perform in Branson

The Coal Miner’s Daughter is coming to Branson, Missouri.  Up Close Concerts is hosting the legendary Loretta Lynn this fall.  It will the first time in seven years she has performed in Branson.  The one night only performance will take place at the Andy Williams Moon River Theatre on November 23, 2014.

One of the most recognizable names in country music, Lynn is known for hit songs like “Don’t Come Home A Drinkin’,” “You Ain’t Woman Enough,” “You’re Looking at Country,” and her iconic tune “Coal Miner’s Daughter.”  In total, Lynn has more than 50 Top 10 hits.  She was won numerous awards and is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, National Songwriters Hall of Fame and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.  Among the standouts is winning Country Music Association’s Entertainer of the Year in 1972 – she was the first woman to do so. 

Loretta Lynn will have a special guest opening her show – Janie Fricke.  Her catalog of songs includes “Don’t Worry ‘Bout Me Baby,” “She’s Single Again” and “Tell Me a Lie.”
