Cowboy Up to Christmas on the Trail

Gather round the campfire for an old fashioned Christmas celebration.  At the Shepherd of the Hills Homestead you can experience Christmas on the Trail, one of the most unique holiday shows in Branson, Missouri.

The show starts at the rustic (yet climate controlled) Pavilion Theater, where families dine on a hearty, Christmas dinner served straight off of a vintage 1800’s chuckwagon.  Cowboy up to a meal of 3-bean trail chili, a slow roasted chicken quarter, a whole flame-roasted ear of corn, a Texas-size slab of cornbread with honey butter, and fresh-made dutch-oven apple cobbler, along with a hot cup of cowboy coffee, iced tea or lemonade.   Once your bellies are full, Christmas on the Trail Branson takes you on a cowboy Christmas celebration.

Set in the countryside of the Ozarks, with the stars shining brightly overhead, circle the campfire and listen to heart-warming Cowboy Christmas music and classic Christmas carols.  One-of-a-kind cowboy poems and cowboy musings are shared, bringing the true meaning of the season to the forefront of the holiday celebration.  Share in this traditional experience, located at one of the most historic sites in Missouri – The Shepherd of the Hills Homestead.

Included with the Christmas on the Trail tickets is the holiday magic of the Trail of Lights.  Drive your car through a 2 ½ mile display of lights, sound, and motion.  You’ll see millions of multi-colored Christmas lights and themed, animated displays, winding its way through the 160-acre homestead.  After you traverse the trail, head up to the top of the 230 foot Inspiration Tower – for a Santa’s-eye view of the Trail of Lights, and a complimentary cup of coffee, hot-chocolate, or spiced cider.
