Branson Veteran’s Day Parade Plans New Route

The Branson Veteran’s Day Parade on November 11 has a new route for 2010.

Originally the parade was to proceed from Price Street to Business 65 and then north on Commercial Street to the finish at the north parking lot of the Branson Landing. However, due to construction of the new Lake Taneycomo Bridge, and the change in traffic flows, city staff worked with parade organizers to develop a new parade route.

The new route will starts at the Branson Convention Center’s south parking lot. From there the parade will go west on Price Street, north on Business 65, east on Atlantic Street, south on Commercial Street, east on College Street and then south on Sycamore Street before eventually ending up back at the Branson Convention Center parking lot.

The parade is organized by American Legion Post 220. The annual parade draws thousands of people to downtown Branson every November.

There are numerous Branson Veterans Events planned, along with the parade.
