Miracle of Christmas at Sight & Sound Theatres
November 4 – December 30, 2017

After decades of crushing Roman rule, the Hebrew people are losing hope.
When will the promised Messiah come? Into the midst of this turmoil, young Mary is told she will bear God’s son. Angels in heaven proclaim his
birth; humble shepherds and regal kings pay him homage.
Clearly this is no ordinary child! But who is he - really?
Is he the Messiah, our Savior? Who can even believe such a thing!
Witness the story that is central to the season, brought to life.

This was fantastic! Almost over for this season but we highly recommend this show if it seasonally returns. The theater is very impressive. We intend to return for additional presentations.

"Awesome Experience!"

I highly recommend this attraction. Always a great show. I have never been disappointed. From the parking to the restrooms, staff and show. There were no parking nightmares, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. During intermission there are ample restrooms for all the people and attendants to direct and keep things moving along. Gift shops, snacks.. all wonderful. Very clean and the seats are very comfortable. Worth every penny and not that expensive anyway. I had a great seat and the show was absolutely amazing. So professionally done and realistic. I highly recommend Sight and Sound theaters. Never been disappointed. A definite must see in Branson.

"One of the best live shows I have ever seen."

They tell you up front what to expect with the animals and cast entering and leaving via the aisles. We were on the aisle and loved every minute of the production. I will go back to see it again on my next visit.

"Broadway in Branson"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

We were very pleased with the production and presentation of SAMSON. The actors and singers are tremendous. The special effects and staging are wonderful. This is Broadway quality at Branson prices. To be honest, I was more impressed with Moses at the Sight and Sound Theatre, but it may have been because I had never experienced this type of play before with live animals and the special effects. We also had some difficulty being able to see. We were in Row L. Middle stage. The elevation of the seats behind the viewers needs correcting to help see the stage. We are not short people and the people in front of us were not tall. Yet there was a lot on looking between them to see the performance. All in all a great evening. It was my girlfriend's 50th Birthday and I believe she enjoyed the show to make her day. Thank you for bringing the Bible to life and adding some humor to keep it entertaining.

"Don't Change Scripture"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5
Reviewed April 23, 2018 NEW
They tell you at the beginning that they took a few "artistic liberties" but they were too much in my opinion. I teach Sunday School, and if I took that many liberties, I'd be asked to stop. The efforts by all of the crew and the actors was very good, but if your going to "Make the Bible Come Alive", then don't change the words so that if/when a "newbie" goes to compare notes, they wouldn't be confused. If this was a production of Moby Dick, A Christmas Carol, or some other fictitious story, then that'd be different, and my review would be all "A's". Their play "Moses" had the same issues. This is not a slam on the crews who build the wonderful, and massive sets, the actors who recite the lines, and sing the songs, as much as to the story re-writers and editors. The story has already been written. It doesn't need embellishment or editing. It's written as He intended for us to know and to glean the meanings. Having the 30 men Samson took the clothes from run away, instead of them being killed for instance, isn't perhaps the easiest thing to talk about, or to show one of God's heroes doing, that is by man's reasoning or logic, but by God's reasoning, He shows us He uses a sinned and corrupt people to do His Will. I absolutely loved the opening lines including "to know His Grace", and then at the end, for the call to the front for those who need to talk. For them it’s a step in the right direction and they shouldn't be confused by "theatrical liberties", please. I'd not go to this one again, but perhaps another one. It also saddens me to read how aloof this venue has become to it's patrons.

I have now seen five performances at S & S and I have to say that Samson is one of my favorites. The whole stage was used, the actors fantastic, powerful music and the script was written for today's culture. It was amazing!
