Our family stayed here over our fall break. We rented a two bedroom villa which was perfect for our family of six. The lodge villas are very luxurious, with top notch amenities, furniture, and fixtures. The kitchen is stocked with all you need. The waterslide was a big hit, as were the game tables, mini-golf, and activities by the pool. My husband and I also really enjoyed the pool service menu (food and drinks). Beach towels are provided. It felt like a cruise almost. And surprisingly, the hotel restaurant was delicious. We do not usually go for room service, but we did twice this trip. We will definitely go back. The service was impeccable by all the staff. 100% 5 stars. Be sure to read the reviews on Timber Ridge, not the Welk Hotel Branson. The hotel is a separate entity. Timber Ridge will not disappoint. Oh, and the scenery is beautiful to view from the balcony with awesome Adirondack rockers! It was very quiet here. And the beds are very comfy.

"Nice, clean, updated place to stay"

We just wrapped up a week in a three bedroom. The condo appeared to have been recently updated, and the finishes are nice... granite counters, new tile floors, stone fireplaces. Our condo was clean. Beds were comfortable. Two of three bedrooms are off to one side and the master is on the other, which is nice if you are traveling with children or extended family members. It gives everyone a bit of space and privacy. If I could change one thing, it would be our view; we paid for a mountain view, but looked straight at other lodge buildings. Our mountain view was over to one side... beyond rooftops of other buildings in the same complex. That said, we loved the condo. The location was convenient to the various activities we had planned. We checked in late evening (midnight) and the lady who helped us was upbeat, helpful and friendly. If you have to visit the desk during regular business hours (to get a parking permit, for example), there's a good chance you'll be encouraged to take a timeshare tour. No high-pressure sales pitch, and we opted not to take the tour. Overall, nice play to stay and we'd likely stay here again.

We stayed at the resort for 1 week in September 2018. The weather during our stay was very good and we spent most of our time out doors. The apartment was to a very good standard and apart from some minor little points it was a very nice place to stay. The apartment was spacious, had a very good balcony where we ate every day and the view without being great was very pleasant. There were 2 pools at the resort a large pool which was both indoor and out door plus another smaller pool beside the hotel complex. The gym was to a very good standard and the treadmill had a running video which gave you the impression of running along various streets throughout the world, very good. There is a restaurant on site but it appears to be open just before one of the shows at the Welk Theatre. On the down side, there is nowhere to just walk for the pleasure of walking and the resort is located out of town. Having said that, there is a very good State Park about a 5 minute drive from the resort. All in all this is very good resort.

My biggest complaint is with Jim, the concierge. When we arrived late Monday evening, we were told to see Jim to get a parking pass and a list of activities. That was a sneaky way of saying, "Jim is going to give you the shake down." I understand that the primary purpose of the Lodges are ownership, but it would be nice if it was at least very clear that the real reason I was sent to Jim was to hear about the option to purchase. The parking pass and list of activities could have been given to me by the front desk. It was a deceptive move. Furthermore, Jim began with enthusiasm only to completely shut down when he heard that my wife and I did not make enough annually to even qualify for the TOUR. It was as if I became worthless to him. After that, I received a parking pass and activity schedule in about 10 seconds and he was done with us. It was rude to say the least. I was told over the phone that staying at the Lodges included access to the Splashitorium compared to the Resort, which had a $20 a day charge. I was VERY disappointed to see an $80 resort charge in addition to the nightly rate (we stayed 4 nights). It is very deceiving to make the website appear to include the experience (AKA it's a no-cost benefit of staying at the Lodges) only to pay the fee anyway, especially when an employee confirmed it was "included" as a no-cost benefit. It should be much more clear that what included actually means is the price is simply wrapped into the total. You pay a resort fee either way! There is no benefit. I was also disappointed by the dishes and cookware not being cleaned properly. I ended up having to wash about half of what was stocked in the kitchen before using because of leftover grime and dirt. A final small critique would be the way items were delivered to our room. When I requested more toiletries, they were delivered in a trash bag the first time. The second time, the housekeeper arrived with his cart and began offloading items into my hands until I had to go put everything down so he could hand me more. I found myself wondering why there is not an intentional way to deliver requested items. It's a small detail but it did stick out. I'll attempt to end on a positive note. Overall, we really enjoyed the Lodges and plethora of kid-friendly activities made available. JJ (I believe his name is Jeremiah) was really awesome! Great attitude and service! I would stay here again if the seemingly deceptive issues were taken care of. I would have easily given four stars.
