"Worst night in motel we ever spent!"
May, 2016
We were put on first floor by the elevator. The elevator went up and down all night long. We stuffed kleenex in our ears and put head between pillows and still could not get to sleep for the noise. Front desk would not move us to another room although they had rooms available. We did not get one wink of sleep! It was the worst night in a motel that we have ever had! Will never stay here again - there are too many nicer and less expensive motels in Branson.

"Just ok"

Clean room, but the bathroom was very, very small. We booked a room in building 2, but they gave us a room in building 1 saying that building 2 was closed. Somebody could have notified us? We wanted access to the outdoor pool and it was almost a short drive from building 1. WIFI was non existent in the room. Won't stay here again.

"Off strip! Not too far!"

Room and bed was wonderful but had to walk up steep hill to the other disconnected part of hotel to get to swimming pool. Other than that lived! Had plenty at breakfast! Very good for family!

"Grand Oaks Hotel Sucks"

They show the main building online but have a lower end building where all the group reservations go. Anything seems to go in that building. It’s the free for all building so if you book outside the Hotels themselves, this is where they put you. Good luck if you stay there. Branson has tons of Hotels. Do a little bit better research. You can find better. Front desk people are are no help with anything. House keeping and breakfast staff do a good job.

Held a family reunion at this hotel. Staff helping with booking the rooms were all helpful, attentive, and emailed documentation for reservation was accurate and translated to ease at checkin. Rooms and property were clean. Queen rooms with fridge and microwave. Bathrooms small, doors open almost touch toilet and hit tub. Have additional small sink outside of main bathroom which is helpful. Breakfast was substandard compared to other hotels: didn't serve containers of yogurt, no eggs on a Sunday, little fresh fruit or canned fruit, no waffles, no milk cartons. There were only two handicapp parking places at the door and these were almost always full. This would be easy to correct. The outdoor pool was at one of their second buildings down a steep hill which could not be navigated with a walker, wheelchair, or cane. It was difficult enough for younger folk to descend or ascend. Had to drive a car. Pool could be bigger for property size. One night unable to swim as pool taken over by little league team jumping with minimal supervision from parents into other patrons in the pool. Limited # of chairs and shade at pool. Have a a jetted end of this pool, calling it a hot tub, when it was cool pool temperature. The first night we arrived, indoor pool was rendered unusable because of poop in the pool at 4pm. It was not serviced for hours and not opened until the following day when we had to check out. In addition, instead of just closing the pool with signage, they closed the indoor hot tub which would have made many guests happy to use siting MI law. Hotels do not seem to understand that they are chosen for their amenities and when they are broken, guests should be entitled to a partial refund, AND fixed quickly. Fitness center inadequate for size of hotel and number of guests. Some front desk staff helpful and others rude and inconsiderate of impact these deficits have on guests. Has wifi and computer room with one computer. Ice and vending machines.

We had a wonderful stay In April and again in May. We had a large group for ball tournaments. We used the indoor pool and hot tubs in April and the outdoor pool in May. The outdoor pool is AMAzing!!! Both trips we stayed in the lower building which hosts the outdoor pool but its a short walk across parking lot to other building that hosts the indoor pool. Has laundry fac onsite and vending. Rooms are nice and clean. Hotel location is perfect, close to Walmart , The Ducks, The Coaster ride , The Bread Co and the Strip. We will stay again.

"2nd Time Staying"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5
Reviewed May 22, 2018
This was our second time staying at this hotel, and when booked, it mentioned remodeled. Since it had been a couple of years, we decided to stay again since the last visit was nice. I cannot comment on the breakfast, pool, nor the fitness room as these were features I did not utilize. Hotel had free wifi which is something I think most people expect anymore. There were outlets on the desk area, and on the lamp between the beds. I mention this because myself and so many others now travel with a CPAP machine, that places to plug in my machine is high on my list of settling in. As is my air purifier. Then you also need a place to charge phone/tablet etc. I seriously should start traveling with a surge protector outlet strip. Our room had a refrigerator and a microwave. It took me a bit to figure out the lamp on the desk was connected to the light switch by the door, which meant I didn't have a phone charge one morning, so that was not great, but my mistake. The shower was clean! Which is something I appreciate. Curved shower rod, but anybody over 5 foot 9 may have slight difficulty washing their hair; and anybody over 6'2 might not fit inside since it has a "roof". There were 2 sinks and 2 mirrors near the bathroom, but no full length mirror, or a mirror by the desk if someone wanted to get ready NOT in the bathroom area. I also didn't notice a vent in the bathroom for a shower, so we simply opened the door to de-fog post shower. Staff was friendly. Spoke to us each time we left and came back to the hotel.
