Titanic Museum Branson to host Ice Sculptors Challenge

Titanic’s 5th Annual Chainsaw Ice Sculptors Challenge is returning to Branson. Scheduled for January 15, 2011, from 9am-4pm, this free event showcase artisans armed with chainsaws and chisels create beautiful sculptures from 250-pund blocks of ice.

The ice carving competition is one the Titanic Museum’s most popular and highly attended events. Kids and parents alike enjoy seeing the ice sculptures come to life.
Professional and amateur ice carvers will compete at Titanic’s outdoor staging center. Top honors and big prize money is up for grabs. At 3pm an official National Ice Carving Association judging panel will announce the winners and award the following:
1st Place: $2000
2nd Place: $1500
3rd Place: $1000
The Titanic Museum Branson is a 7,000 square foot ship-shaped structure that features self-guided tours covering 20 galleries on two decks, displaying more than 400 priceless artifacts that once belonged to Titanic passengers or crew.
