The Branson Landing Heats Up this June with Several Fun Events

The Branson Landing is a unique waterfront entertainment complex offering shopping, dining and more on the shores of Lake Taneycomo. This June they have several events planned that will be fun for the whole family.

On June 11th, the Colgate Country Showdown will take place at 5pm in the Town Square near the Branson Landing fountains. The competition is designed to find the most promising country music talent in America, and Branson is one of the regional locations of the competition. The winner will advance to the state competition and then, perhaps, to the national competition in Nashville at the Ryman Auditorium.
The Landing will host the 3rd Annual Downtown Clown Around on June 19. This free event will celebrate kids of all ages as the Branson Landing Promenade turns into a festival of fun for everyone. Huge interactive inflatables will be available to play on, including a Monkey Barrel Bounce, Rescue Heroes Play area, Bungee Run, RipCurl Slide, Adrenaline Rush, Obstacle Courses and much more. Clowns, face painting, balloon animals and other fun activities will also be available.
The event will also celebrate and thank 20 local charities that help those less fortunate in the area. These charities will also be on hand assisting with the operation of the Downtown Clown Around.
David Letterman Stupid Human & Pet Trick Auditions will be at the Branson Landing on Saturday, June 26 from 4pm-7pm. Join Springfield’s KOLR 10 for the casting call and you might just be on the next Late Show with David Letterman. The casting call is open to those of all ages. The auditions will take place in front of the Branson Landing fountains. Participants selected will receive a free trip to New York, a payment for their appearance on the show, and a chance to perform their trick on the stage of the Ed Sullivan Theater.
