AOL Travel has named Silver Dollar City on the “10 Best Christmas Light Displays in the U.S.”
Other locations included in the list are icons such as The National Christmas Tree in Washington, D.C.; Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida; and Rockefeller Center in New York.
Silver Dollar City was selected as a Top 10 choice as the theme park near Branson, Missouri is transformed into a dazzling holiday wonderland during the holiday season. Silver Dollar City glows in over 4 million dazzling lights. The twinkling floats of the Gifts of Christmas Holiday Light Parade also pass by twice each evening. Plus, there is a daily tree lighting ceremony in the park’s central square set to music and lights. Fantastic holiday shows, including “A Dickens’ Christmas Carol,” festive holiday food and crafts make the Old Time Christmas festival at Silver Dollar City a top place to celebrate the holidays.
The festival, which runs through December 30, has previously been recognized as one of the nation’s top holiday celebrations by USA Today, CNN Travel, The Travel Channel and Good Morning America.
