Silver Dollar City celebrates World Fest April 7-May 8, 2011. This Branson theme park will present a plethora of international entertainment and delicious tastes of the world right here in the Ozarks. Plus, Silver Dollar City tickets give guests access to all of the exciting activities available during World Fest.
This year’s international performers include the Mayorov Russian State Circus, who will present a lively show with acrobatics both astounding and comical, hilarious clowns, colorful costumes and more! Another all new shows for World Fest include Canadian Powerhouse, featuring world-championship fiddlers and step-dancers; Rhythms of Rajasthan, a group from India performing traditional music and dance of two of its most intriguing cultures, the Langas and the Manganiars; and Irish Eyes Are Smiling, starring Dearbhail Finnegan on the Irish Harp and Michael Londra’s sublime tenor voice.
The Russian Academic Band returns to World Fest at Silver Dollar City to delivers their own special brand of traditional Russian and Dixieland music to the City’s square. Trinidad’s Footprints Diego Martin brings tropical rhythms to Branson with a spectacular show featuring stilt dancers and fire limbo, among many other traditional dances of Trinidad, and instruments like the steel pan and skin drums. Ecuador Manta also returns to World Fest this year, as does Master Yodeler Kerry Christensen. Ecuador Manta performs traditional Andean music and instruments, while Kerry Christensen specializes in traditional Alpine yodeling.
cuisine will be featured at Tastes of the World, giving guests an all access pass to international cuisine. Traditional favorites from Greece, Mexico, Italy, China, Germany, Ireland and many more will be available.
