Branson Shows Shift Theaters in 2014

Every year, the Branson show scene shifts a bit, with shows moving theaters and new shows coming to town. To give you a head start on where your favorite shows will be, take a quick look at what we know about Branson shows in 2014 so far. – The Sons of the Pioneers are moving to the Baldknobbers Theatre after a successful 10-year tenure at The Shepherd of the Hills Homestead. Sons of the Pioneers will perform matinees at 2pm, while The Baldknobbers will retain their 8pm showtime. – The Haygoods are moving from the RFD-TV Theater to join the stellar line-up at Clay Cooper Theatre. – Clay Cooper Theatre is also hosting a new show next summer – Chris Perondi’s Stunt Dog Experience. – The Rankin Brothers are taking their show to the Yakov Smirnoff Theater, after performing the last season at Clay Cooper Theatre. – Liverpool Legends is returning to their original Branson home, the Caravelle Theatre, and have plans to refurbish the theater as a yellow submarine. Martina McBride Set to Serenade Branson

Attention country music fans! One of the biggest names in country music is coming to Branson for one night only!  Martina McBride is set to perform at the Andy Williams Moon River Theatre November 30, 2014.  Hosted by Up Close Concerts, the event will be a highlight of the holiday season in the Ozarks!  Over the years, McBride has released more than 15 albums, seven of which earned a gold or platinum honor.  Selling over 14 million albums, she has charted five No. 1 hits including “Wild Angels,” “Wrong Again” and “Blessed.”  Other popular songs of hers include “My Baby Loves Me (Just the Way That I Am)” and “In My Daughters Eyes,” although she is best known for the song “Independence Day.”  Other big name music artists coming to Branson this fall and winter include Loretta Lynn, Charley Pride, The Village People, Ronnie McDowell, Pam Tillis and Lorrie Morgan.  A full schedule of Branson shows is available, with over a total of 50 shows and special events planned. Musical Guests Lined-Up for Larry’s Country Diner

A live version of the RFD-TV hit show Larry’s Country Dinerreturns to Branson, Missouri this September.  The Starlite Theater and Larry Black, host of Larry’s Country Diner, have released another round of special stars set to appear at the show. Extreme Stunt Show Le Grand Cirque Lands in Branson

Charley Pride to Perform in Branson

One of country music’s icons is returning to Branson, Missouri.  Charley Pride is set to perform at Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater on October 19 and November 16, 2014.  The show is produced by Up Close Concerts, who are hosting Loretta Lynn and The Village People. Jonah Debuts at Sight & Sound Theatres Branson

Jonah, Sight and Sound Theatre’s newest production, recently debuted in Branson, Missouri to rave reviews. The show had previously headlined the Lancaster, Pennsylvania theatre location, during which it broke all sales records. Visitors and locals alike are already making Jonah a success in the Ozarks. Read on to find out why this show intrigues so many, from young to old. Like all Sight and Sound Theatre productions, Jonah is a Christian-based religious show although it appeals to a wide audience. The plot of Jonah revolves around the famous Bible story of the prophet Jonah. When Jonah is asked by God to deliver a message to the people of Ninevah, who are enemies of the Israelites, he refuses and flees in an attempt to get away from God. During his journey he encounters a variety of interesting characters and ultimately finds himself inside the belly of a whale for three days. After this time, he eventually heeds the word of God and sees the purpose of his mission. You might be wondering how a live theatre performance can create sea-worthy scenes, including ones located inside a whale. With the magic of Sight and Sound Theatre’s technology, crew and cast, a production has been put together that magically transports guests to the era of Jonah. The $3 million production of Jonah features more than 40 performers and 71 set pieces, including a 30,000-pound boat that is 50 feet long, 28 feet high and, when the hull doors open, is 50 feet wide. Wynonna Judd Brings her Soulful Sound to Branson
