Silver Dollar City opens for the 2012 season on March 15. Alongside 30-plus attractions, visitors will find a selection of shows debuting, continuing the tradition of Silver Dollar City creating new park attractions.
Silver Dollar City shows are really pulling out all the stops, with more than a dozen new shows appearing on the parks stages throughout the year. This Branson, Missouri theme park is appealing for this and many other reasons. In combination with its demonstrating craftsmen, thrilling rides and world-class festivals, the shows are a highlight of a day at Silver Dollar City. The first festival the park welcomes this year is World-Fest, an event that will feature six acts. Among them is the “La Bella Musica,” debuting in the also new Italy section of the festival. Stilt-walkers, acrobats, flag throwers and a vibrant parade make “La Bella Musica.”
The Flying Walendas will return as headliners of Kids-Fest, and two new shows will debut. “Luma” – will feature bring the story of Marvel Cave to life using a high-tech 3-D light show. Kids will be able to get interactive at “Gazillion Bubbles,” as bubbly artistry is the main event. National Harvest Festival launches a new western stunt show in the fall and in November An Old Time Christmas will present “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
The Silver Dollar City theme park has two events: A veteran’s salute and fireworks display on Independence Day and a Country Music Weekend on September 8 and 9, with Diamond Rio and Pam Tillis performing.
