One of the most engaging ways to experience the culture of the Ozarks is visiting the Shepherd of the Hills Homestead. The Branson, Missouri attraction is home to numerous activities and is imbued with the history and heritage of these rolling hills.
Other things to do at the historic homestead include Inspiration Tower, Vigilante ZipRider, Trail Rides and the Round Up on theTrail Chuckwagon Dinner Show. Take a ride to the top of the 230-foot tall Inspiration Tower to get a panoramic view of the Ozarks. The enclosed observation deck is a perfect place to snap souvenir photos. From the top of Inspiration Tower you can also experience the Vigilante ZipRider. Launching from the open air deck of the Inspiration Tower, the Vigilante ZipRider whisks guests on an adrenaline pumping downhill ride over The Shepherd of the Hills’ 160 acre homestead. Zip down ½ mile cable, reaching speeds of 50 mph while taking in the sights of the homestead. You can also take a 30-minute trail ride through history on horses used in the outdoor drama. A guide will take you on some of the same trails the Baldknobbers rode. See the majestic Ozark hills, The Trail Nobody Knows How Old, ride down in the Holler, all in the beautiful shade of the Ozark woods.
