Dean Zeligman as Elvis

Put on your dancin’ shoes this Memorial Day weekend in Branson, Missouri.  Entertainers from several theaters are joining forces to present “Jailhouse Rock.”  The show will pay tribute to the life and times of Elvis Presley.

Dean Zeligman, who portrays Elvis at Legends in Concert, will headline the show.  Elvis’ early 50s, rockabilly style is examined during the concert experience featuring stories and songs that transformed Elvis into The King of Rock and Roll.  Pivotal moments from Elvis’ career are highlighted throughout the show, including his appearances in movies and his comeback in 1968.  The group New South, from Grand Jubilee, will join Zeligman to perform as Presley’s backup singers The Jordanaires.

With tickets to this performance, you’ll not only hear songs from Presley’s early career.  Songs from films such as “Viva Las Vegas” and “Spinout” will be performed, as well the best tracks from the 1968 comeback special.

Tickets for the show are on sale now.  Cost is $25 for visitors; $10 for locals.  This original production will be performed for one night only at Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater on May 25th at 11pm.
