Branson has been recognized as a “Destination on the Rise”for 2012 by TripAdvisor. Branson is listed No. 7 on the list out of the 15 destinations chosen, due in large part to the natural beauty, family-friendly attractions, live entertainment available in the Ozark Mountain hamlet.
TripAdvisor highlighted the plethora of entertainment options available to visitors on “The Strip,” a seven-mile stretch of live music and comedy shows, restaurants, shopping, Branson attractions and hotels. The article compares Branson, Missouri to Las Vegas due to its non-stop entertainment but with a Midwestern vibe that adds a warm, hospitable charm. Of course, there aren’t any casinos in Branson but you can always place a bet on who can see the most Branson shows, race the fastest at The Track or who can shop ‘til they drop at the Branson Landing.
The outdoor allure of the Ozarks is a top reason to travel to Branson as well. With the rolling hills of the area offering over 200 miles of trails for hiking, horseback riding and biking, plus three scenic lakes perfect for fishing and water sports, the southwest Missouri town provides the perfect mix of outdoor appeal and fun things to do.
