Branson Fiddle Festival Plays this August in Downtown

Fiddle fans from across the nation will want to mark their calendars for the Downtown Branson Fiddle Festival, set for August 2-3, 2014.   The 26th annual Branson festival includes the Mid-America Fiddler’s Championship, demonstrations, entertainers strolling the streets of downtown, workshops and more.  Ready to learn more about this event?  Read on.    

The Fiddlers Championship during the Branson Fiddle Festivalwill award more than $5,000 in cash prizes in five separate divisions.  The winner will receive an invitation to the 2014 Grand Masters Fiddle Championship in Nashville, Tennessee.  Contest will be held at the Historic Owens Theatre from 9am-7pm on August 2, with champions awarded at the end of the day. This year, it is free to enter the competition.  Pre-registration is appreciated, but not required.  For a full schedule of the day, click here. 

Other activities happening during the Fiddle Festival include sidewalk sales, strolling entertainment, live music, workshops, demonstrations, and don’t forget about the tasty food available.

Tickets for the Fiddle Festival are $8 ages 13 and up.  Tickets for children are $4. Fiddle contestants will receive reimbursement of festival admission at time of their registration into the competition.
