Branson will host its 62nd Annual Adoration Parade on December 5. One of the most popular and largest holiday events in the Ozarks, the festivities include pre-parade activities and entertainment that start at 4pm, followed by the Nativity Scene Adoration Lighting ceremony at 5pm. The nativity scene features figures up to 40 feet tall on top of Mount Branson, which overlooks Lake Taneycomo, Downtown Branson and the Branson Landing. The official parade begins at 5:30pm.
The parade route will follow a new 2 mile parade route that will begin in the heart of downtown Branson at the Business 65 Bridge and south entrance to the Branson Landing. It will then proceed north on Branson Landing Boulevard and turn west on E. Price Street. The parade will then turn north on Business 65 and divert onto Commercial Street at the Post Office. The parade will then proceed to the railroad track crossing near Belk, where it will turn left onto Branson Landing Boulevard and make an immediate right turn to the east into the entrance to the Belk parking lot. The parade will then enter the Service Road and proceed south along the lakefront behind the Branson Landing, ending in the south end of the Bass Pro parking lot.
The theme of the parade is and always has been “Keeping Christ in Christmas.” The parade will feature over a dozen bands and over 40 floats and walking units.
There are plenty of good areas to see the parade, including Commercial Street, Branson Landing Boardwalk, the Branson Landing fountain area and the north end of the Branson Landing near Belks Department Store.
