61st Adoration Parade Marches into Branson Dec. 6

Branson’s 61st Adoration Parade is set for Sunday, December 6, 2009, at 5pm. This lighted nighttime parade features the theme of “Keeping Christ in Christmas.” The parade begins with the lighting of the Nativity Scene on the Branson Hill, overlooking the Branson Landing. Then, to kick off the event the LeCroix Sisters will sing the National Anthem and Reverend Bob Hubbard will present the invocation.

The Branson Parade will feature 15 marching bands and 40 floats and walking units. The parade route will go through historic downtown Branson and Branson Landing on the Lake Taneycomo lakefront. A good spot to watch the parade is on Commercial Street in Downtown Branson, as is the Branson Landing fountain area, Belk parking lot and sidewalk along Lake Taneycomo.

Awards in various categories will be presented at 7:30pm at the Branson Landing fountains.
