The Clay Cooper Theatre is playing host to an all-new, family friendly show in 2014.  Chris Perondi’s Stunt Dog Experience, an enticing show popular during Silver Dollar City’s KidsFest in recent years, will be added to the theatre’s summer line-up.  The new show is a great arrival to the Branson show scene, especially for the summer when families vacation the most.

With tickets to the show, you’ll see Perondi and his incredible cast of canines perform astonishing acrobatics, doggy dancing, high jumping, oh-my-goodness obstacles and plenty of laughs.  The show will feature new segments, sets and courses for the lovable pooches.  Aiding Perondi with the dogs are four other trainers who ensure proper training, nutrition and overall health.  The show touches hearts too, as all of the dogs are recues who’ve found a new life entertaining and performing.  Perondi is a strong supporter of animal rescue, which is an important part of the show.
Other shows you can look forward to this summer at the Clay Cooper Theatre include Joseph Hall’s Rock ‘N Remember Tribute, Buckets N Boards, The Haygoods, and Clay Cooper’s Country Express.

Silver Dollar City is planning on making 2014 a great year to Celebrate America!  The theme park will host a year-long Americana celebration, along with a full line-up of new festivals and shows.  Come along as we tell you what to expect in the New Year so you can start planning your vacation now.

The park will open March 14 and launch WorldFest, a popular event showcasing cultures from around the world, on April 5.  WorldFest, known as “America’s Largest International Festival,” has added two new shows – “Benise!” and “Via Roman.”  “Benise!” features Spanish guitarist Roni Benise, along with a group of musicians and dancers, performing class Spanish guitar rhythms.  At “Via Roman” the melodic sounds of traditional gypsy music from Ukraine entrances visitors.  A few of the attractions returning to the cultural festival include Amamos Argentina, Island Fire, and groups from Ireland, Ecuador and more.

Once WorldFest wraps up at Silver Dollar City Branson on May 4, Bluegrass & BBQ Festival is planned.  From May 8-June 1, you can listen to top artists and award-winning performers throughout the park.  The International Bluegrass Music Association’s Bluegrass Event of the Year includes stars such as Rhonda Vincent & The Rage, Doyle Lawson & Quiksilver, Balsam Range, the Kruger Brothers and more.  During this festival, the 13th Annual Youth in Bluegrass Band Contest is held and you can sample a variety of barbeque sauces and tasty backyard barbeque items served throughout the park.

New for the summer is the Star Spangled Summer Celebration, held June 7-July 20.  Although the event is replacing KidsFest, it’s still very kid and family-friendly.  Activities, games and action – all with a patriotic theme – will take over the park.  Two of the new shows planned include the Flying Ace All-Stars, featuring Olympic athletes and future hopefuls performing daring stunts on trampolines, as well as “The Magic of Brad Ross,” who dazzles audiences with his world-class illusions. Moonlight Madness returns for summer of 2014, so you can ride into the night from July 19-August 3.

Towards the end of August The Southern Gospel Picnic will replace Star Spangled Summer.  From August 22-September 1 the Midwest’s largest gospel event is held at Silver Dollar City.  Hundreds of Grammy and Dove award winners, and top gospel acts will perform.  You can look forward to seeing The Booth Brothers, Jeff and Sherri Easter, The Isaacs, The Hoppers and many others.

Country Music Weekend, featuring classic country music stars, is planned September 6-7 before the falls festival debuts.  The festival, which as a new name – National Harvest & Cowboy Festival, is held September 12-October 25.  The American cowboy is the focus, due to popular demand, and shows like the Wild West Stunt Show will return to the delight of guests.  More than 120 demonstrating craftsmen will also be on hand, and a special salute to American Adventures on the western frontier will take place.

The year will come to a close with An Old Time Christmas, slated for November 1-Deember 30.  Many of the same traditions will continue at this annual festival.  New additions, however, include the Holly Jolly Christmas Light Parade, featuring Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Friends, who will be celebrating a 50th anniversary in 2014.  Guest favorites like original shows “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “A Dickens’ Christmas Carol” will return, as will the Christmas on Main Street light and sound shows, a musical Living Nativity and many more holiday delights.

See you at Silver Dollar City in 2014!

Silver Dollar City is changing things up in 2014.  After a successful 2013 season, which included the launch of the popular Outlaw Run Coaster, the park has decided to add a new theme for the upcoming year – “Celebrate America.”

Park officials stated the idea of theming 2014 as “Celebrate America” came about as they saw an overwhelming spirit of patriotism and pride recalling good, old-fashioned Americana.  Based on that train of thought, they decided to dedicate 2014 as the year to Celebrate America.

Guests who visit Silver Dollar City Branson in 2014 will be able to enjoy several new shows, attractions and an all-new summer festival – The Star Spangled Summer.  Plus, everything the park does will be themed in red, white, and blue. The park is also offering a program dubbed “The Spirit of ’76.”  This year was picked as it was the 200th anniversary of the signing of The Declaration on Independence.  Anyone born in 1976 or married in that year (and are still married!) will get a free season pass for 2014.

Star Spangled Summer is replacing the annual KidsFest but don’t worry parents – the festival is still very kid-centric.  Activities, games and attractions for youths are planned, including the all-new Flying Ace All-Stars featuring Olympic athletes and future hopefuls performing daring stunts on trampolines.  Also new for next year is “The Magic of Brad Ross” starring the Merlin Award Winner for Best International Family Entertainer.  Moonlight Madness will also return next summer from July 19-August 3.  During the event, the park stays open for extended hours, allowing park-goers to ride into the night!

Also returning for 2014 are the summer street dances on The Square, as well as festivals like WorldFest, Bluegrass & BBQ, Southern Gospel Picnic, National Harvest & Cowboy Festival and An Old Time Christmas.
