Branson has been inundated with rain the past few weeks, creating a deluge of flooding in the Tri-Lakes area. The massive amounts of rainfall have made it necessary for the Corps of Engineers to close the portion of Hwy 165 that runs over the Table Rock Dam. This portion of Hwy 165 will be closed starting today, May 2, and will remain closed for 7-14 days. Although Branson shows and Branson attractions are open for business, some attractions, like Ride the Ducks, have had to make changes to their daily operations.
Ride the Ducks offers land and lake tours featuring Table Rock Lake. They halted operations last week, as a safety precaution, but resumed operations this Monday, May 2. In order to continue conducting their land and lake tours the company has had to alter their tour route, which changes the length of the tour.
Ride the Ducks guests will leave from the Hwy 76 duck dock, as regularly planned, and go east on Hwy 76 until reaching Hwy 65 South. From there, they will head west on scenic Hwy 165 until they reach Baird Mountain, a beautiful locale featuring panoramic views of the lake. They will then splashdown into Table Rock Lake and head back on the same route. Normally tours last 70 minutes, but with the re-routing that is necessary, trips will now last 2 hours.
Once Hwy 165 reopens over Table Rock Dam, the regular tour route will resume.
Ride the Ducks tickets are currently on sale for the remainder of the Branson season.
