AirTran and the Branson Airport have announced new nonstop service to Branson from Baltimore/Washington, Chicago (Midway) and Houston. The service will begin in May. Officials say the expanded service comes in response to increased demand from customers wanting easier access to the Branson area.
Last year, Branson welcomed 8 million visitors who take in an array of entertaining Branson shows and enjoyed the various Branson attractions available.
The following nonstop flights between Branson and Baltimore/Washington will be available beginning May 28, 2011:

Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede begins its season in Branson MO on February 25th. The Branson dinner attraction will present the largest feature ever, “Return of the Buffalo!”
The buffalo once numbered 60 million throughout North America and in tribute to the American spirit, Dixie Stampede proudly presents these creatures nightly for guests to experience them up-close.
The 2011 Dixie Stampede season also presents a new Carriage Room comedy pre-show featuring David Lucas.
The Dixie Stampede Branson is a unique attraction featuring 32 horses, a stampede of buffalo, horsemanship, romance and audience participation, complemented by a four-course meal.

The Branson Airport is now serving Dallas as officials announced Monday, February 7, that flights to and from Love Field in Dallas will begin April 4. Dallas is a top market for Branson, as the area welcomes many visitors from Texas.

The airport will also resume flights to Austin, which stopped in December because of Branson’s off season.
Currently Branson Airport offers flights to Atlanta on AirTran Airlines and to Denver and Milwaukee on Frontier Airlines.

Young Christians’ Weekend descends on Silver Dollar City April 1-3, 2011. This faith-based event features big name concerts, inspiring speakers, praise and worship sessions plus all of Silver Dollar City’s thrilling rides and entertainment. Join thousands of youth from across the nation during the Midwest’s premier Christian youth event in Branson.
The fun gets started on Friday Night at 8:30pm. Dove award nominee Fireflight will take the stage at the 4,000 seat Echo Hollow Amphitheatre. This hard-rocking group is the perfect choice to kickoff the weekend of worship.

Branson visitors can now get an up close and personal view of Table Rock Lake Dam on a guided walking tour. Visitors will be able to see firsthand what it takes to operate the massive structure on the over 53,000-acre Table Rock Lake. Tours are available Thursday through Sunday from 10am-2pm the month of February, and are available daily from 10am-2pm March through December.
The new Dewey Short Visitor Center on the shores of Table Rock Lake will open by Summer of 2011. The 15,000 square foot visitor’s center will feature an auditorium, gift shop and educational are. The lake itself is also going to be a part of the new experience. The center also includes areas that tell how the dam was constructed as well as provide information about the dam’s inner workings. An exhibit displaying the wildlife found in and around Table Rock Lake is also available.
