In November and December, the Dixie Stampede transforms into a holiday celebration including a live Nativity, with three kings atop camels, holiday music, a visit from Santa and a four-course yuletide feast.
Presenting the bright new musical fantasy, “The Magic of Toys." One Christmas night, the Sugar Plum Fairy appears in a sleepy toyshop and magically brings all the toys to life in a musical celebration. Highlighted by a stunning aerial display and set to the unforgettable music of the Nutcracker, “The Magic of Toys” will delight the kid in you and every member of your family.

Jim Stafford's Christmas Show!
"A perfect blend of merriment, mirth, and more.”

Jim Stafford hosts a magical holiday celebration that warms your heart and tickles your funny bone. Packing the first half of his show with favorites from throughout the year, Jim delivers his holiday cheer after intermission. Jim opens his show with some awesome guitar pickin’ and from there, Jim takes his audience on a roller coaster ride of comedy and laughter.

As Jim starts the second half of the show with a totally empty stage, you’ll watch as Christmas comes alive before your eyes. Sing-along with “Oh Boy, It’s Christmas Time," gasp at the sensational surprises, and revel in the Holiday spirit. Famous for his in-house real 3-D Virtual Thrill Ride, Jim creates a totally new 3-D experience for Christmas. Daughter G.G. is the perfect angel as she plays her harp and looks like a gift from heaven. Ann Stafford joins in for some holiday banter and to give thanks for the true meaning of Christmas. Son, Sheaffer, shows how Christmas rocks and Jim performs an absolutely amazing Classical Christmas on his guitar. Jim’s show is full of gifts -- beautiful music, heartwarming moments and as always, the sounds of laughter.

The legacy of amazing Christmas shows continues at the Moon River Theatre. The 2013 show will star The Osmonds and The Lennon Sisters plus all the features that made Andy’s show so great – fantastic variety, singers, dancers, prancing reindeer, penguins plus the Moon River Orchestra, all performing your favorite holiday songs! A great tribute to Andy Williams, the man who launched the careers of these two great performing families, is also part of the show. You won’t want to miss it!

Enjoy a hearty, Christmas dinner, served straight off of a vintage 1800’s chuckwagon.

You’ll “Cowboy Up” to a big, hot, rib-stickin’ bowl of 3-bean Trail chili, a slow roasted chicken quarter, a whole flame-roasted ear of corn, a Texas-size slab of cornbread with honey butter, and fresh-made dutch-oven apple cobbler, along with a hot cup of cowboy coffee!

Then, as we celebrate Christmas on the Trail, you’ll sing along, as we share a Cowboy Christmas, complete with your favorite Christmas Carols, and a special time of reflection on the true meaning of the Christmas Season!

Join us around the campfire, as we create a Christmas memory complete with familiar carols, and unique cowboy reflections that will touch your heart and stir your memories!

Then enjoy the 17-year Heritage of Holiday Magic, the Trail of Lights! As you drive through this 2-1/2 mile display of lights, sound, and motion, you’ll see millions of multi-colored Christmas lights and themed, animated displays, winding its way through the 160-acre Shepherd of the Hills Homestead, and straight into the very Heart of Christmas!

Included in the Trail is a trip up the area’s largest Christmas Tree – the 230 foot Inspiration Tower – for a Santa’s-eye view of the Trail of Lights, and a complimentary cup of coffee, hot-chocolate, or spiced cider!

Dinner starts at 6:30 P.M. and is up in our Balcony. When we reserve folks for the dinner theatre they will remain in the Balcony for the show. (If you'd like seating on the floor level for the show please make note of that in your reservations.) These are great seats and the view is incredible. It's a real fun experience.

Here's a recipe for a great holiday treat... take the best parts of the Hamner Barber Variety Show, add a heaping serving of your favorite Christmas classics and throw in a pinch of imagination and you'll delight in the sheer magnificence of The Wings of Christmas. This unique production has something for everyone.

The first half features the best of our award winning Hamner Barber Variety Show featuring the magical illusions of The Hamners and the hilarious comedy of ventriloquist Jim Barber as seen on the David Letterman Show. The second half is pure imagination and whimsical fun with a spectacular finale that will bring you to your feet with applause.

As the curtain opens on the second half, the audience is transported through the magic of multimedia to an animated world of Christmas memories as the entire cast performs favorite cartoon classics.

The Hamners rekindle fond memories of early Christmas presents as they magically produce some favorite toys that when combined with Dave Hamner's imagination, become real and bigger than life.

Music is the thread that weaves this production together. Featured are the incredible vocals of both Dave Hamner and Jim Barber as well as Jim's wife Diane and our talented singing dancers.

Legendary entertainer Tony Orlando announces his FINAL SEASON in Branson. Tony will bring back his incomparable energy and talent to the Welk Resort Theatre in 2013 with his celebrated show, Tony Orlando’s Great American Christmas!

From November 1 through November 30th, Tony will sing all of your holiday favorites: the songs that have become part of the fabric of Christmas in America; and his greatest hits: “Candida," “Knock Three Times," “Tie a Yellow Ribbon," “Sweet Gypsy Rose” and many more.

Tony is joined onstage by his incredibly talented band and cast to tell the story of Tony’s first Christmas in the Ozarks, and the special visitor he met.

The Starlite Theatre in Branson is pleased to announce the addition of a new Christmas show to their roster. Kenny Rogers Presents “The Toy Shoppe” starring Billy Dean will begin performances on November 1 and continue through December 21, 2013.

The original music and story were written and arranged by music legend Kenny Rogers and producer/director Kelly Junkermann. The original Broadway-style production has toured the United States to sold-out audiences and critical acclaim.

Country star Billy Dean appears as “Hank Longley” in “The Toy Shoppe.” Longley’s Toy Shoppe has been filled with magic, wonders and miracles for nearly 100 years. It is a place where toys come to life and children gather to hear owner Hank Longley tell stories. The audience joins Hero the Dog, Cheeseball the Mouse, Bruno the Bear and Billy Dean as Hank Longley in this story of love, faith and appreciation for the value of every individual. The story is full of old-fashioned values and is great entertainment for the entire family. The original music from the production, featuring 11 songs co-written by Kenny Rogers as well as several holiday classics is available on Dreamcatcher Records.

Billy Dean first gained national attention after appearing on “Star Search” and has recorded 8 studio albums since 1990, of which 4 have been certified “Gold.” He has generated more than 20 hit singles on the Billboard Country charts including 11 Top Ten hits.
