The Legends in Concert show in Branson is pure entertainment from start to finish. When I went to see the show the featured performers were Shania Twain, Johnny Cash, The Blues Brothers, Elvis and The Temptations. The line-up changes four times a year, so be sure to check which performers will be on stage when you see the show! The stage at Legends in Concert is small, as is the theater, but it packs a big punch. The show begins with Shania Twain, who sings all of her hits, including “Still the One,” “Any Man of Mine,” and “Feel like a Woman.” Shania was very energetic, has a great stage presence and really got the crowd involved. Johnny Cash was next, and he was spot on as the “Man in Black,” from the way he sounded to Cash’s inflections and expressions. The crooked smile was on full display during “Folsom Prison Blues,” and the performance only got better during “I Walk the Line,” “Ring of Fire,” and “Boy Named Sue.” The Blues Brothers hit the stage next, and their charismatic portrayal had me laughing and singing all at the same time. Jake Blues had the facial expressions and singing style perfected, while Elwood blues had all the dance moves down to a tee. And when the harmonica hit the microphone, watch out, because the party just got started! Elvis and The Temptations filled the second half of Branson's Legends in Concert, and I was equally impressed with their performances. Elvis rocked the house on “Heartbreak Hotel” and “Jailhouse Rock,” complete with the signature Elvis dance moves! When he did a Gospel segment featuring “Peace in the Valley,” everyone around me was in awe at how good he sounded. The Temptations rounded out the show, and boy did they have Motown down. I was singing along and swaying in my seat during their renditions of “Ain’t to Proud to Beg,” “My Girl,” and “Can’t Get Next To You.” This show is a great choice for any Branson visitor as it presents a variety of music and talented performers! |
