Description

from Liverpool Legends, "The Complete Beatles Experience!"
Louise Harrison presents Liverpool Legends......
Liverpool Legends “The Complete Beatles Experience!” are four incredibly talented musicians and actors hand-picked by Louise Harrison- sister of the late George Harrison of the The Beatles.

Louise’s involvement in Liverpool Legends makes them the ONLY Beatles Tribute Band with a direct family link to the original Fab Four. “Each member of the group is so close to the originals that I often feel like I’m transported back in time with the lads. These are exactly the kind of fun loving quality musicians that my brother George would have loved to hang out with.

2015 was a very exciting year for the group as they toured The U.S. and internationally, culminating with a sold out performance for over 16,000 people at Arena Ciudad De Mexico. They traveled to Ecuador for three spectacular performances in Guayaquil and Quito.

Liverpool Legends have been headliners at the prestigious Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA, in front of 68,000 people (an audience larger than The Beatles performed for at Shea Stadium!).

Liverpool Legends also received national attention when they re-created The Beatles famed 1966 concert at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. Cardinals manager, Tony Larussa was so taken with the band that he’s had Liverpool Legends flown in for several of his own private events with top stars from around the world.

On March 5th, 2016 Liverpool Legends brought people to their feet as they performed at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York City where The Beatles performed in 1964 right after the Ed Sullivan Show.
Celebrating another year headlining their own show in Branson Missouri, Liverpool Legends have been awarded Best New Show, Best Band, Best Show, and received the prestigious Visitors’ Choice Award for Entertainer of The Year for two consecutive years.

Recently Liverpool Legends were chosen over every other Beatle Tribute band in the world by top television and film producer Jerry Bruckheimer (CSI, Pirates of The Caribbean, National Treasure) to portray the band that changed the course of music and the world forever.

Members of Liverpool Legends have toured the world, playing in historic venues such as The Cavern Club in Liverpool and recorded at the famed Abbey Road Studios in London. They have performed with Denny Laine (co-founder of Wings with Paul McCartney), Pete Best (the original Beatles drummer) and the Boston Pops. Liverpool Legends have appeared on The Travel Channel’s “Beatlemania Britain” and headlined “International Beatles Week” in Liverpool where 100,000 Beatles fans jammed Victoria Street to hear them in concert.

Liverpool Legends perform songs spanning the entire career of The Beatles and on through the solo years. With precise attention to every musical detail, along with costume changes, vintage instruments, a new high-energy scene with special effects, Liverpool Legends will make you feel like you are watching the real thing! Together, these four lads will bring you “The Complete Beatles Experience.”

My daughter and I went to see the Liverpool Legends because she is a music major and a Beatles fan. They were so good, it brought back fond memories of my younger days. They took the time to meet everyone following the show and they were all so cordial.

"Great Fun!!"
February, 2015
We went to see Liverpool Legends while in Branson because my son and husband are huge Beatles fans. It was really a lighthearted, fun experience. You could tell they had studied the mannerisms of the real band and did a really good job conveying the atmosphere of the real thing. They went through the different phases of The Beatles' careers, including several costume changes, and a wide array of different songs. Was very pleased, and would definitely go again!!

Tip: Realize it's not the real thing, although they get pretty close. Also, be prepared to get up and dance!!

"Great show for Beatles fans - bring your dancing shoes"

We have seen at least 4 Beatles tribute bands in our time, and in our judgement, the Liverpool Legends are one of the 2 best we've seen. The best was the group RAIN (named after the Beatles song, out of California & tours all over). Liverpool Legends are musically just as good & professional, but there are a few shortcomings only diehard Beatles fans will notice relative to Rain's slightly superior impersonations of each individual Beatle. (For anyone interested, we list them later below). Firstly though, the Liverpool Legends give a very good show very reminiscent of the Beatles and very professionally executed. They induce a lot of audience participation (clapping along, singing & dancing in the aisles), which enhances the fun. If you like Beatles music, you will enjoy this show, and it is a reasonable price (unlike Rain!). Now, for the diehard Beatles fans, here are some finer points: 1) Liverpool Legend's McCartney is the best impersonation of the four - looks like him, sounds like him & moves like him (but the latter not quite as good footwork as Rain's McCartney) 2) Liverpool Legend's Lennon appears to be new to the band and while displays potential (good musician), needs to work on demeanour, mannerisms, appearance & voice to be as convincing as Rain's Lennon. 3) Uniquely, Liverpool Legend's Ringo for once looks a bit like him. We have seen no other tribute band able to achieve that. 4) Liverpool Legend's George is a good musician & singer, looks a bit like him & sounds similar. He does not move (or not move in George's case) like Harrison did though in comparison to the excellent imitation performed by Rain's Harrison. Looking at the Liverpool Legends as a group, the most serious observation is that the concert is unrealistically biased in favour of George Harrison. Liverpool Legends start out by the McCartney character taking the lead (welcoming the audience & introducing the first few songs) but gradually the Harrison character becomes the lead commentator. While he does this very well & professionally, it is totally unrealistic relative to the real Beatles - Lennon & McCartney were dominant on stage & Harrison was a background player with occasional lead singing roles. Adding to this distortion is a presence in the concert's lineup of songs of a greater than usual number of songs written & sung by Harrison. Again, not representative. Of course, there is a reason for this bias in favour of George: the Liverpool Legends were formed by Harrison's sister, and there is a subtle effort in the concert to make her brother more prominent than he really was. If not for this bias adversely affecting the overall impersonation of the group, we would rate this concert as "Excellent", reflecting it's entertainment value regardless of the obvious exaggerated Harrison role.

With over 75 shows playing the week we visited and limited time and money, this one was a winner we choose. The music and performances were outstanding but their showmanship was the clincher for us. Unfortunately, they have limited play dates in Branson so if they are in town see them. Old or young the songs are now all classics.
