Didn't know that the Grand Country Jubilee had an all-encompassing complex -- shopping, buffet, theater, pizza, inn, etc. The entertainment was superb with very skilled musicians and entertainers such as the New South Quartet and comedy man, Jim Dandy, who also plays almost every instrument by ear. We went to this show on our last night in Branson, and we were not disappointed. In fact, this was my favorite show of all! I would highly recommend going to see this performance.
New York City, New York
we love the show except for the female performer. comedian Jim dandy, band and New South we excellent. costumes were great. would go see it again maybe female was just having an off night.
Wow did we find a great show here at Grand Country. The Friday evening show is recorded for radio and TV every Friday night. They have a great variety of talent. We happened to be there when Jackie Brown's husband was on hand to play with his band Steel Horses Band and guest Billy Dean showed up as well. Jackie did a duet with her husband which was equally awesome. New South gave us a few songs, and Melody Hart steamed up the place with a fiddle song with her husband. Jamie and Mike hosted in their usual MC entertainment style, fun, and we had an absolute blast. Coming again.
The 2016 Grand Jubilee doesn't disappoint. I thought New South Quartet couldn't get much better, but I was proved wrong. The quartet has a connection with each other and it spreads to the audience. They have been voted numerous times as Quartet of the Year and Gospel Quartet of the Year - and rightly so. They sing songs from the Gatlin Brothers, Oak Ridge Boys, Statler Brothers, and many other groups. Their music will have your hands clapping and your toes tapping. They are back up by the band, Rhinestone Mafia as they are lovingly called, that are award winners, too. Jackie Brown, Jamie Haage, and Emcee Mike Patrick round out the cast. Jackie is a multi year Female Vocalist of the Year, Jamie has been named Comedian of the Year many times. Mike Patrick is the current Emcee of the Year. I don't want to spoil the show for you, but the first half of the show is traditional music that you must hear to believe. But the second half is pure fun. The entire cast performs music from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. They not only sing the music, but with many costume changes take you back to when the music was first performed. Jackie performs "Let It Go" and brings down the house. I know that my granddaughters are going to love hearing her. I highly recommend this show as a must see for everyone.
