A family-operated revue, popular since its opening in 1959, Baldknobbers Jamboree is an upbeat live show that features contemporary country music and side-splitting comedy acts. The revue is hosted and performed six nights a week by the second and third generations of the Mabe family, as well as other talented musicians, singers and actors.

we felt that the best part of the show was the music, and that wasn't the best we had ever heard. It seems to me that it would have been better to have more musical parts and a lot less comedy. We were not looking for a comedy show when we got tickets for this theater . The Christmas show in the second half was fairly good.
The show is stuck in a time warp, it just hasn't evolved over the past 35 years. Way too much comedy for the show. The Mabe's seem to have familyissues that come to surface on stage. Singing was OK. The MC was the son who needs to recognize he shouldn't do it all, his voice is twang sounding, his cousin as he announced is a better singer with a much better voice he should be the lead singer and MC. The singers didn't seem to know what to do on stage, just kind of walked from side to side, no dance moves. They aren't enthusatic in their acts which just fall flat and gives the apearance the family doen't work well together. What happened to the talented side of the family where are they?? We go to a show that is exciting to be at, they just can't reach the bar. The Christmas song Megan sang near the end in a tight red pant suit was so-so, other shows perform the same song and its a kind of "sexy get the audience involved" song and act. She just walked back and forth across the stage, if she didn't move her arm she had no routine to the act. Her voice needs training or to be worked on, her pitch is not there. The other woman singer was good but they just let her fill in at spots. Her and the cousin could greatly improve the show. Droupy Drawers should put some respect in the show for the family and audience. When the family had a wardrobe change to sing a family piece he was still in character as a comedy act while everyone else looked good he looked goofy. Can he sing, dance or do something what a narrow character he has, and he's the producer!!!! They have a sjow value of about $20 which they charge about $33 dolars for, they've kind of gone down hill.
Saw this show with my parents over 40 years ago and it was as much fun now as I had then, great music and comedy, talented performers, nice facility, definitely a place to visit in Branson
First, I must complement the singers. All of them are talented, and Megan is especially entertaining. The wardrobe choices were excellent and very flattering to all of the women. Now for the bad (and it was REALLY bad): The comedy bits were appalingly weak. They were corny, stupid and an insult to both the audience and the truly gifted singers who were also on stage that night. Instead of feeling like a "cohesive show", the entire evening felt like a bunch of individual acts stuck in a production that didn't mesh. The show seemed erratic and disjointed. My husband and I were very disappointed, and I would not recommend this show to others. This show would be amazing if the hillbilly comedy routine was done only once (I recognize there are people who might find it entertaining) instead of reappearing between every musical number like a bad nightmare that won't go away.
