"Short on Honesty"
January, 2016
I'll chime in with what other people have said about leaving articles behind and no one ever finding them. In 2011, I took off my gold wedding band to go into the swimming pool at night and left it on the side of the pool. The next morning I realized I had left my ring at the poolside and called immediately the resort manager. When we got to the pool area, the ring was gone. We stayed at the report when there were very few persons on site, and it is highly likely the only person who saw my ring was the pool manager who opened the pool area the next morning. Even though I made a full report to the resort's "security" head, no one ever followed up with me whether my ring was ever found. And I have been a owner at this resort for more than 15 years.

Tip: Don't expect too much. Our timeshare time requires we travel during the first 11 weeks of the year. So there are no night activities, no ownership events, no nothing going on. And we pay all the maintenance fees anybody who owns during the prime season pays. This is a clean, quiet place, but it really isn't much of a resort. Last year I used the hot tubs and got the worst boil on my body that I ever had. So I don't have any idea when the hot tubs or pools are cleaned.

"Worst experience ever!"

I highly recommend NOT staying at this place!!! It started upon arrival when we had booked two rooms and requested them to be close together and when we arrived one room was ready while the other was not. So the room that was not ready got an "upgrade" and we were placed halfway across the property from our friends we traveled with. The so called upgraded king suite was far from a suite. The room was outdated, the heater was turned up so high we had to open the windows and doors to cool it down mind you the outside temp was in the mid 40's. For what we paid we could have had a much nicer place and much cleaner and up to date room!!!No here is where it goes even further south for me... I had purchased a new pair of Under Armour shorts at the Branson Landing. When we checked out of the room Sunday we thought we had everything and when we got home and started unpacking I realized I had left my shorts hanging on the back of the bathroom door before showering. I hung them there because the bathroom was far from what I consider clean. I called first thing Monday morning after double checking all of our bags and my vehicle for the shorts. After being told nobody had been in the room except cleaning personnel my shorts were no where to be found. I spoke with many different people and passed around more than you can imagine all anybody could tell me was "I'm sorry sir your shorts are not here. We will do some more checking and let you know what we find." I spoke to security, house cleaning, and even the director of operations and after more than a month of dealing with them I still got nothing other than "Were sorry sir...". I know without a doubt I left the shorts there and if someone would be dishonest over a pair of shorts I would hate to know what would happen with something more expensive!!!

I would like to give a special thanks to Tommy, Johnny, Andrew, Aida and Shirley! These guys were awesome in every way with keeping me and my children entertained! The customer service that they provided made me feel right at home and is desired by many of their competitors. I'm certain that if everyone that came through Westgate had the opportunity to meet them that it would heighten their experience overall. Thanks for all you do and for making our experience worthwhile! - Drae (Globetrotter)

"Superb staff and great room"

We had a lovely room and a quiet stay at the main lodge building -- our favorite building at the resort. Extra thank you's to Tatyana, Tammy, and David for helping make our stay special. The staff was really tested when the City of Branson's water main burst and left the entire resort without water for 24 hours. It wasn't much of an inconvenience to us because we were sightseeing all day and had access to toilets at other places. But many guests were demanding that the poor staff "do something" to get the city water back on. I'm sure they were even more frustrated than the guests, but they were sympathetic and patient, over and over again with those visitors who insisted on venting to someone.

My cousin was not able to use their time share week so they gave it to me. They have one of the top of the line time shares. It is the Two bedroom grand Villa that sleeps up to eight. From the neighbors units dog barking to the incredible noise from the unit above us to there not being enough hot water to take a bath to all of the water being off a day before departing, This has been an horrible experience.

If you like woods and mountains it's the right location. It has a pool, activity center has a market place and restaurants. It is also close to a lot of activities and shows and restaurants. This was our unit staying here we enjoyed it. If you visit go by the restaurant that has a chicken in front. Excellent corn bread. Talk to the gentleman in the entry and ask for the wonderful gifts he is giving.

Thanksgiving holiday with family: Both my husband and I have disabilities, he's blind. Their "crew" unloaded our van, then unloaded the luggage cart in our room, and they even got us ice. (fridge hadn't made ice yet ). We were put on the 3rd floor in the Towers. As a result of the being overbooked on our condo we were upgraded to their best condo at no charge. We enjoyed a week of pampering and feeling appreciated! Their facilities are very clean. The security is 24hr gate guard, yes you can have guests just notify the guard. We recommend this resort WBWR to you.
