"Love but failed on one aspect."
August, 2016
My family had an amazing time at the Welks resort! It was not far from down town everyone was very friendly! The splash-a-torium is the icing on the cake but let me warn you the water IS FREEEEEZING! Of course it didn't bother my kids but it was way to cold for me which is crazy because I LOVE swimming but this was just miserable cold so I was very thankful for the hot tubs they had! The rooms are very small which made it difficult for us to find places for our luggage but we managed just fine. The bathroom on the other hand was super spacious and had tons of counter space! The only other problem we had was our room not ever getting cleaned by house keeping. We come in at 2 everyday to lay our kids down for a nap & house keeping had never been by for the 3 days we went there so for 3 days we had our trash taken out & that was it. It would have been nice for them to have focused on cleaning the rooms for their guests that we're currently staying in first and then cleaned the rooms that people had checked out of last. All in all it was a nice place to stay. Would probably stay here again but would have to talk to a manager about our previous experience of not getting rooms cleaned.
Tip: Don't expect your room to be clean before 4pm. Water at splashatorium is FREEZING COLD even in 100 degree heat!

We loved this resort and will definitely tell others and stay here again in the future. It was so kid friendly, yet, things for adults to do as well. The resort was located in a spot where you could miss all of the main traffic and still get to all of the hot spots fairly quick. Two thumbs up...
Tip: Bring swimming suits and prepare to have fun....

It took little time to find the resort, but once we found it ,it was great. After a long hard day a Silver Dollar City, it was great to take the grandkids to the pool acre.
Tip: Great place to stay, just keep looking for the Welk Resort .

"Great indoor fun!"
July, 2015
We picked a rainy weekend to travel to Branson and our White Water plans had to be cancelled. It was great to be able to allow my kids to get some water time! They had a blast while I enjoyed the jacuzzi. And the staff was very nice and helpful.

"Nice location off of the Branson strip but close enough to everything"

This resort is known more locally as a timeshare facility but we stayed in the hotel portion of the resort. Since it was a cold weekend after Thanksgiving we didn't explore the resort much as far as using any mini-golf or swimming facilities but the hotel location was very nice. They allowed us to change our room when we were assigned a room by the elevator. The rooms are somewhat small but adequate though it would be nice to have a second chair besides the computer chair. The shower was wonderful with great warm water and thick soft towels. And the beds were comfortable. Having a small refrigerator took care of breakfast for us and the wifi and TV worked fine. Yes, you hear a few small feet running the halls or upstairs from you occasionally but in general the hotel is nice and quiet and has a decent restaurant. If we hadn't already seen the Million Dollar Quartet show we would have seen it here as it's right on the property and easy to walk to from the hotel. Maybe next time they'll have something different as a show.....and we'd definitely return to this resort.

We stayed thanksgiving weekend. Coming in late Thursday night after shopping we pulled out the hide a bed for the kids to find it not only not been changed but it was obviously soiled by urine. They wanted to change the linens and us stay in it. Discovering there were 2 other stains under the mattress pad we asked to be moved and they allowed us to. Things happen but I expect more when paying $169/night. Didn't sleep well due to people upstairs stomping on the floor. The heated pool and slide was nice for the kids. The room was average at best--kind of small. No microwave. Bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly. Parking close to the hotel is difficult if there are very many people staying so prepare to hike up a small hill. If the price were lower I would consider staying again but I don't feel the "resort" price is justified.

We had a weekend with two other couples and since we were planning to see BJ Thomas & Peter Of Herman Hermits in concert at the Welk Theater the resort was the easy place to stay. We could walk from our rooms to their restaurant & theater. It was a convenient location off the main strip of Branson & reasonable off-season rates. I'd repeat the trip. Was a very pleasant weekend.

"Disappointing experience"

I requested a handicap-accessible room. Upon arrival was told none were available. Asked if there would be one the next day I was told "there should be". Asked the next day & still none available. Asked if there were any rooms closer (there was only 1 room farther away than ours--room 467) & was told there was not. If someone requests a handicap-accessible room, why wouldn't you place them as close to an elevator as possible? Also, long walk to breakfast area for handicapped person. The last time at breakfast, the gift shop lady asked if I'd like a cart to take me back to the hotel. Why didn't they tell me about this before this?

"Overall Great"

It was our first time staying at Welk Branson. It was an overall great experience. We booked for 3 nights. We arrived and checked in with Cindy, I believe her name was. She was very friendly. During my booking, I had requested a top floor room and they met my request. However, our room was literally next to the elevator...so we had to deal with the constant loudness of other guests and the bell chime of the elevator. So I would definitely request a room away from the elevator next time. We also had to deal with out of control kids staying in the room next to us. It took everything in me not to knock on their door and respectfully say something to the parents. The amenities offered on site were fantastic. I think this is what we enjoyed most about it. The "Splashatorium" was great and well maintained. We also took part in a game of billiards in the game room. We did not play the miniature golf. And we did not see their on-site show. The location of the hotel was great too. Off the strip, but still close to everything. Breakfast at the Stage Door was good, however we did experience some staleness in the food. We could tell that a few of the items had been sitting out for awhile and the freshness was gone. Note: Breakfast is offered at an extra cost. Pre-paid at check-in was $8 per voucher. We only ate for one morning though. The hotel grounds were well maintained and nice to walk along the courtyard where a replica Vietnam memorial wall sits. The biggest complaint I had from the stay was how a fire emergency was handled. The alarms went off at 6am, so like other guests...my girlfriend and I shuffled downstairs and outside to the front of the hotel. Now while I completely understand that these things happen and cannot be predicted, the way it was handled was a little disappointing. We all stood outside in 40 degree weather in little clothing for about 30 minutes or so, with no communication from the staff about what was happening. The majority of the guests during our stay were of a senior age. You could visibly see that the cold was affecting some of these guests, including my girlfriend as well. I felt someone from the staff could have handed out some blankets or something to help keep the guests more comfortable while the building is deemed safe for re-entry. But nothing at all from the staff. We didn't even receive a professional apology for the inconvenience that night, nor did we receive one at checkout. I just felt the staff wasn't very sensitive about it. Having said all of that, I would still return to this resort and recommend it. Most issues were mostly out of the control of the hotel.
