"Love but failed on one aspect."
August, 2016
My family had an amazing time at the Welks resort! It was not far from down town everyone was very friendly! The splash-a-torium is the icing on the cake but let me warn you the water IS FREEEEEZING! Of course it didn't bother my kids but it was way to cold for me which is crazy because I LOVE swimming but this was just miserable cold so I was very thankful for the hot tubs they had! The rooms are very small which made it difficult for us to find places for our luggage but we managed just fine. The bathroom on the other hand was super spacious and had tons of counter space! The only other problem we had was our room not ever getting cleaned by house keeping. We come in at 2 everyday to lay our kids down for a nap & house keeping had never been by for the 3 days we went there so for 3 days we had our trash taken out & that was it. It would have been nice for them to have focused on cleaning the rooms for their guests that we're currently staying in first and then cleaned the rooms that people had checked out of last. All in all it was a nice place to stay. Would probably stay here again but would have to talk to a manager about our previous experience of not getting rooms cleaned.
Tip: Don't expect your room to be clean before 4pm. Water at splashatorium is FREEZING COLD even in 100 degree heat!

"Family Vacation"
October, 2015
We loved this resort and will definitely tell others and stay here again in the future. It was so kid friendly, yet, things for adults to do as well. The resort was located in a spot where you could miss all of the main traffic and still get to all of the hot spots fairly quick. Two thumbs up...
Tip: Bring swimming suits and prepare to have fun....

It took little time to find the resort, but once we found it ,it was great. After a long hard day a Silver Dollar City, it was great to take the grandkids to the pool acre.

Stayed at this place in the lodge rooms. Seemed ok, just a little run down. Stayed for 4 days and not once did they clean the room or bring new towels, coffee etc. I understand it's a timeshare place but at least bring new towels, I shouldnt have to call the front for everything. The pool area is nice, over priced for what they offer pool side to eat or drink. The workers that are watching over the slide area really need to do a better job and keep the kids from running over little ones. Also they should at least offer some kind of continental breakfast. Would return to this place only because my in-laws have a timeshare here .

"Place has gone downhill!"

We previously stayed here in the summer of 2014, and the place was great then. However, this summer it was not! We are a family of 5; 2 adults 3 children. We booked a family room with two queen beds The beds were Full not queen. The room was tiny! There is not enough room between one of the beds and the desk with chair. We had to put the chair in the closet just to be able to walk in front of the bed. I wish that is where the bad ended, but it is not. The toilet started running on its own and flooded the bathroom Called the front desk and they sent a maintenance guy up who informed us that this happens all the time! Asked from a manager and was told he left for the day; never got to talk to a manager. We asked for a cot for my youngest to sleep on because the beds were not big enough and their version of a cot is blankets and a pillow for you to make a pallet on the floor! We did not eat at the restaurant while we were there this time because last time it was way over priced for the quality of the food. The only thing this place has going for them is the splashatorium. My kids loved it over there. We won't be staying here again on any of our future trips to Branson.

"Welk Resort Family Reunion"

We had a wonderful family reunion at the Welk resort. There were 17 of us and we stayed on the main floor. Ages from 6 years old to Grandparents. I want to thank first the welk resort for making our reunion exactly what I had hoped for. A very clean resort. the rooms are dated, but great beds and great towels for bathroom, everything worked proper. This is a great resort to take advantage of activities for young children. We did a few of the activities they offered at a small price and the kids just loved them. Their pool and slide was used a lot the 9 and 7 year old we could not get off the slide. They had a large gathering room on the lower level and that was taken over by us as it was not ever used we ordered in and ate dinner there one night. and played cards at night. It was just wonderful. Everyone was pleasant. The adults got into cornhole matches and at night we did not have to fight traffic as we went to dinner one night nearby and ordered in one night. There was a small pool in the rear of the hotel right by the gathering room and we had it to ourselves as no one was in it. They have a cute minature golf. Very plain but the little ones loved it. I must say kudos to the welk resort for making it a pleasant stay for all. The only thing better was maybe updated rooms, but everything was very, very clean. It was relaxing, plenty to do and all employees were very nice. Thank you for making this a wonderful reunion we would return and tell our friends how nice you made it for us.

"Worst trip we have ever taken"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5
Reviewed July 11, 2017 NEW
This was the worst vacation we have ever taken. After driving from st louis to branson we arrived at welks and were told we had no reservation. We booked and paid back in January and were sent an email confirmation. Turns out they forgot to actually book our room, our confirmation was not valid. So to "make it up to us" they gave us passes to thier waterpark which is just a pool w one waterslide and put us up in a crap hotel on the strip 10 minutes from the resort we were supposed to be staying at. This was all done after a 2 hour phone call to thier costumer service line bc the hotel couldn't help us at all. The costumer service person named Jeremiah told us management would call us 1st thing the next day to figure out our room for night 2 of our stay. Well no one ever called us. After checking out of our hotel for night 1, sight seeing, eating lunch and walking around waiting for the phone call that never came i called them again. It took 3 different welks numbers all from the hotel with no answer until i finally got through to someone. This person informed me that we do not have a room for night 2 but we still needed to attend the 2 hour sales pitch the following day. I asked them how we were supposed to attend if we didnt have any where to stay. Our daughter has cystic fibrosis and needs to do 2 daily treatments for her disease and so she had to miss a treatment bc the hotel didn't provide us w a room. We had to drive home less than 24 hours after arriving. I closed my business and my husband took off work all bc we were told we were paying for a 2 night stay at a 4 star hotel w a waterpark and that was not at all the case. The hotel was not helpful, customer service was very rude and not helpful and everything we were offered at the time of purchasing our trip was a lie. I will never stay at a welks resort ever again. I suggest you do the same unless you want this company to lie to you, make yourself and your children cry, be completely stressed out, overwhelmed and have your first family trip to branson to be a complete and utter nightmare.

"Family Fun"

This resort has good and bad points. Let''s talk good first. It is very family oriented. Very nice indoor and outdoor pool. It has a miniature golf area. Plus activities scheduled all day long. We took our two grandsons for a four day visit. They loved every minute. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was reasonably priced. Now the negatives. The room was small for a room with two queen beds. There was no exhaust in the bathroom so every time someone showered the entire sleeping area was foggy and humid. They have one restaurant, and the food was not very good. I do not think I would go back with the multitude of choices in Branson.
