"Review of two night stay"
March, 2015
My family and I enjoyed a two night stay at Village at Indian Point. Everything was clean and ready for use when we arrived. Also, staff was very accommodating with special requests. Having the kitchen fully stocked with plates, cups, silverware etc made it easier to have meals there which allowed us more time to enjoy the amenities. Overall, the cost of the two night stay was completely worth it and we will definitely be visiting again in the future!
Tip: Know that you are responsible for the "housekeeping" duties you would typically have at a hotel.

Although it rained for two days we TOTALLY loved our unit #7 in bldg 9. Cute, Clean, Comfortable. Fire in the hearth all day was a needed time to rest from travels and excursions. Friendly staff. Only wish was that some coffee was at the front desk for this caffeine mama
Tip: bring coffee and sodas. limited fishing without a boat

We spent two week nights in August in Lodge 17, Condo 9, which is a corner unit on the top floor with a gorgeous view out over the lake. Since it's a top-floor unit, it has cathedral ceilings which make for a very attractive and roomy feel. It has a large balcony with a table and chairs as well as a porch swing - lovely for sitting out in the evening. We visited mid-week after local schools had started, so it was quiet with few other guests in the property. Our unit was decorated in full-on lodge style, so while I don't think the decor has been updated real recently, it's kind of timeless and is nicely done. The condo has two bedrooms with king-sized beds (mattresses much too soft for our taste and should be replaced) on the main level, and up a spiral staircase is a loft with a queen-sized bed. That room was perfect for our granddaughters, and the bedding on all the beds was nice. The two bathrooms were clean and pleasant, although the jetted tubs are extremely slick when wet. We put the bathmats inside the tubs so as not to fall when we were showering. The condo has an open floor plan with the kitchen looking into the dining area and living room and out to that wonderful view, and has fridge, stove, dishwasher and microwave, as well as washer/dryer. We ate only breakfasts there but found everything we needed in the way of pots and pans and dinnerware for that meal. There is a large fireplace in the living room (didn't use it) and four flat-screen TV's, one above the fireplace and one in each bedroom. We didn't use the sleep sofa in the living room so can't attest to it as a bed, but the sofa itself really needs to be replaced. The leather is showing serious wear and it isn't real comfortable to sit on. The two easy chairs, both recliners, are great. The property has a very nice, clean swimming pool, and a pay-to-play game room which our grandkids enjoyed for a half hour or so when we first arrived. Our plans included the Branson Belle riverboat and visiting Silver Dollar City, and this property offers good access to both. The office, which had no posted hours so you had to kind of guess when it was open, has kids' fishing poles available. We rented three and taught our grandkids the rudiments of baiting a hook and casting. I believe at the Villages each condo has a different owner, so each one will be unique and some will be nicer than others. I would certainly return to this one, even with the soft mattresses, because of the marvelous view and the cozy ambience of the condo.

At the end of summer we wanted to take our daughter on an impromptu last minute mini vacation before school started. We've stayed across the road so I knew the location but had never actually been on the property. It's very pretty and well lighted at night if you come in the dark. Our condo unit was not Lakeview, but that did not matter to us as our plans were to spend most of the day doing activities. Our particular condo was decorated in a lodge like theme with comfortable furniture and beds, 3 LCD television's, was well stocked with things required had we wanted to cook, bathrooms were spacious, lots of storage for clothes, very nice deck with a bistro table, dining table AND an electric grill and a full size washer and dryer. Had we been staying a full week, it would have been even better. Parking was great, almost right at the front door. We had no issues, used the pool one time (very relaxing), staff was helpful and friendly. I would recommend the unit we stayed in - Lodge #8, Unit #3. I think each unit is different because these are condo's and have owners. Depends on the owner. I believe the owner of our condo cares a lot about making this a pleasant place to be. Thanks!

"Very disappointed!!! Will not return!"

My husband and I decided to take a last minute mini vacation, because we had a babysitter! It was our first time with just us since our daughter, we were excited to get away and just relax! We drove up, and the place is beautiful, so we had high hopes! Wrong! As we opened the door to our condo, it was as if we walked into the 80's-90's... Very outdated! Now, I could handle outdated decor, but that wasn't it, while the couches didn't look dirty, I couldn't help but think about how old they were and how many germs were probably on them, so we ended up putting a sheet on the couch to sit on it. The bed... It was extremely uncomfortable, myself nor my husband slept well, and the next morning, our whole body ached from the mattress! I would guess it was at least 15 years old, if not older! The box springs were visible and had nasty stains on them, which grossed me out! The sheets were cheap and not soft and the rest of the bed coverings were old as well! For the price, I wish we would have just rented a room at Hampton Inn or somewhere like that. Needless to say, I knew it would be hard to leave our daughter, but we were looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend, and now we are going home with regrets of even going and spending the money for a 2 night stay here. It was a waste of money, we will not return! (I don't know if each cabin/room/unit or whatever is different, but we will not waste our money again!) If we could have got a refund, we would have cancelled and returned home or found a hotel!

This was our 4th stay. We go back because of the homey feel the condo gives us as a home away from home. This trip was disappointing for a couple reasons: 1. cheap furniture & master bedroom with an old style CRT television. PVC deck furniture. 2. Toaster didn't work. 3. Four cup coffee filters for a 12 cup coffee maker. 4. We had to cut our trip one day short because of issues at home. They issued resort credit instead of just NOT charging us for the 5th night. We had other stays that were much better than this. Considering it was a lake view with a jacuzzi tub I expected better furnishings & appliances I could use. I don't know whose decision it was to do credit as opposed to not charging us for the day we didn't stay but that was very disappointing. I don't know if we will be back if this is the new normal.
