"Hot water heater"
March, 2016
We stayed here during spring break, everything was great until Saturday night (night before Easter Sunday) and no hot water. So I called front desk, I asked her if we were sharing a water heater with someone, she said no (which i found out was a lie) so once I told her the problem and she said she would send someone to our room, I said ok great we are in room __ building G, we waited for several hours..... nothing, no phone call nothing. So when I was checking out I informed management all he had to say was he was sorry, it was a miss communication and he apologized. I told him I told the lady at the desk which room and building we were in, then he said he was right there with the lady at the time I called, she did not tell him the building just the room ( I found this out while talking to him) so that tells you she did not give the right information. I am not a complainer, but this ruined our Easter. Needless to say we will not be back.

"Great area.....HORRIBLE service"
March, 2016
I am very disappointed with our experience. We arrived Friday, check in was easy, people seemed nice, place seemed clean, etc for the price $300 (2 night 2 bed 2 bath condo, includes check in fee and such).

So fast forward to about 30 minutes after our arrival (not even fully unpacked yet) our "concierge" (Dennis) comes to our room to welcome us. He tells me a bit about the property and family orientation and how the grandfather died a few weeks ago and so on... Then goes on to say that they love feedback and suggestions and for a bit of our time he will knock off a $100 for an additional night for us to go to a presentation. Please keep in mind this is my first trip as an adult. I liked the idea of helping a company grow by ideas and such and figured what the heck for $100 I'll do it.... Well, turned out we were there from 9 am to after 12 and it was a sales pitch, which it did say on the form I signed, I just didn't fully read it. The guys were great and their plan wasn't technically bad but I was not buying. We leave, after my kids sat waiting quietly for hours to do "fun" things.
After our nice day we get back and I call the service desk to pay for the difference for the extra night. I was informed they couldn't find anything. I gave her our "concierge" name and she said she'll call him. Guess what....two minutes later, he doesn't "recall" this....well luckily I have the paperwork copy. So I call him, he says apparently the sales guys stated that I didn't show my ID and credit card when we showed so they couldn't complete the presentation. That was the first thing they asked for at 9 am! They have my credit card info and I was informed by Dennis that if we didn't attend they would charge $100 on it. I have checked and the charge isn't there....yet...and it better not be or I won't be just writing reviews.
I would like to throw a fit and act like the mad customer I deserve to be right now but I won't put my kids through that. Instead, they have lost business and hopefully this steers others away. It's sad really, BC we really liked the resort and planned on coming back. We were going to stay until Monday even without the $100 off. Instead we are going to go to a different resort for the additional night....

Now if my card gets charged....this will end waaaaaayyyyy differently but as of now...I will leave quietly and not hand these people another dime

"Second time at Still Water-I'm sure there will be 3rd."
October, 2015
Spent three nights at Still Water. I was able to book a wonderful deal on the room and SDC tickets using Reserve Branson. Couldn't find a better deal anywhere else! We stayed in one of their rooms with double queens. Plenty of space and comfortable. I like the easy checkout too. We spent most of our time at Silver Dollar City, but they have lots to do on the property. Swimming, biking, play grounds. Nice place, we'll be back!

3 couples spent 4 nights on vacation here. It was a two bedroom/2 bathroom condo on the first floor with kitchen; and had 3 TVs and a patio. Loved the space and it was very nice......no complaints. Lots of activities...we used the pool and the mini golf....otherwise was in Branson during the days.

My family of 7 are on our way home right now from a wonderful trip to Branson. Still waters Resort was an awesome resort. I am big on reviews and always rely on them to tell me how a place rates however in this case there were so many mixed reviews that we were on edge on staying here. I have never stayed somewhere with this amount of mixed reviews before! We stayed in building J on the 1st floor. It had an amazing view of the lake with the mountains behind it. All the free Lake activities were right behind us. The oasis pool was a very short walk. That pool was gorgeous and looked just like the pics on the internet. However the water was freezing! The other pool with the big green slide was also not far away. That pool was smaller but the signs clearly say slide then exit water. It is not for swimming. There was a small baby wade pool and a smaller hot tub located there too. The third pool was only for swimming no slides. It looked nice but we never swam in that one. The mini golf was perfect and fun. It was a cute 9 hole course and was very clean. The lake amenities were lots of fun! My kids loved going down and Kayaking and paddle boarding as well as testing their leg strength on the paddle boats and bikes. There was a game room and playground with a basketball goal as well. As for the maid service, there was none but we actually like that because we don't have to worry about anyone coming in our room. We washed our towels so we did not have to worry about going to exchange them but if don't want to wash then the towel exchange (2 locations) are conveniently located within walking distance. As far as the rooms, we got exactly what we reserved and they were very clean and nice. You will need to bring or buy any paper towels, dishwasher and laundry detergent, spices and such but that was fine with us. They do provide hand soap but you will need to bring your own shampoo and such. There was a hairdryer in the bathroom under the cabinet. A lot of people complained about the timeshare part, them asking you to take a tour...I checked in, they asked if we wanted to tour, I said not this time, and they said ok. That was it. No hassling, no rudeness. In fact everyone was very friendly. We ate pizza the first night. It was very good BUT it was pricey for what we got. We had a large 2 topping which was around $24 after tax and it was only 8 pieces so that would have been good to know. Everything was very nice and good. We plan to return again soon and we will most definitely be staying here. I enjoyed being away from all the action of downtown and all the free amenities made us feel like we could have a great family vacay without spending a ton of money on extras. If you are on the ropes about staying here then I would say go for it!

"Great affordable place but no recycling facility ?!!"

We stayed at the condos right next to the lake front and their pool center. Great family amenities. My kids (7 & 4) enjoyed the pool that has the slide while we enjoyed their hot tub! Lake front Marina has peddle boats, tricycles, paddle boards and canoes included for free! While some of them were rickety to use they were great family entertainment! I enjoyed canooying the peaceful table rock lake all by myself early morning...very therapeutic! Here is my complain though. We had collected so many plastic water bottles and boxes so I asked one of the staff members where their recycling bins were. I was kinda shocked when the guy didn't even know what recycling was! I had to repeat myself couple of times and then finally had to say 'nevermind we'll figure it out'. I was sad to realize there were no recycling bins next to the trash bins near any of the buildings! Saw lots of plastic bottles in the dumster! We're from Colorado where we're big in recycling and composting stuff but I guess no one cares in this side of the country cares to recycle? Hope I'm wrong on that! Branson is such a beautiful green place..people must be conscious to take care of the mother nature here right? Anyways I did google and find out the Branson city has a recycling facility so after checkout I'll go there and deposit all the plastic we had collected over the weekend (I wish my extended family hadn't bought so many plastic bottles from Walmart) !

Normally in a review I mention the good first, but I feel the need to list the bad first because for me, it outweighs the good. We stayed at Still Waters several years ago. I remembered it being noisy, but since we would be staying in one of the remodeled units, certainly they would have addressed that, right? NO!!! You can hear EVERY footstep, every drawer being opened and closed, showers running, etc. from your neighbors. The floors and walls are paper thin. It's so sad because the units are beautiful. The views are beautiful. But you better hope that you and your neighbors are on the same sleep schedule. Sadly, greed seems to be another issue for the resort. Perhaps you've heard of Hurricane Harvey. Well, I'm from the Houston area. Harvey hit the week before we were to leave for Branson. Thankfully we and our property did fine. (Still Waters has a requirement to cancel 21 days or greater before your reservation if you want your deposit back.) I called the resort to explain that I wasn't sure if we would be able to come because our interstates were under water and there was an extreme gas shortage. We didn't know if we'd find gas if we were able to travel. I asked them if I could get my deposit back. They said only if they could re-rent the unit. And there would still be cancellation fees. Seriously?? Wow, no compassion. Its all about the money. The good: lake, location to Silver Dollar City, pools, free kayaks, free paddleboats, free paddleboards. Boats and jet skis to rent. You can get a temporary Missouri boating certificate - cheaper, faster than online. So, if you decide to stay here, get travel insurance and bring some ear plugs.

"Family Fun Branson Lake Getaway "

My family loved staying at this resort. At checkin they offered us a better room that had just opened that overlooked the Lake! We had a beautiful balcony and my kids could not get over how cool the slide and waterfall was at the Oasis Pool. I also enjoyed all the free water toys they had, which helped make this even more fun without costing a fortune. Another huge advantage was their staff; they helped us find Branson shows that my kids and wife loved plus had great dinner tips. Being two minutes from Silver Dollar City and not having to wait hours to turn left off the main road was a huge bonus! Love this place and I am sure you will too!
