"Family weekend"
July, 2016
We had a wonderful time at Still Waters. Everything was even better than we expected. Everyone was real friendly and helpful. Had a great room with a beautiful view. We would highly recommend staying at this resort.
Tip: Towels were provided and kitchen well supplied with what you would need. Only thing we had to go get was paper towels.

"Hot water heater"
March, 2016
We stayed here during spring break, everything was great until Saturday night (night before Easter Sunday) and no hot water. So I called front desk, I asked her if we were sharing a water heater with someone, she said no (which i found out was a lie) so once I told her the problem and she said she would send someone to our room, I said ok great we are in room __ building G, we waited for several hours..... nothing, no phone call nothing. So when I was checking out I informed management all he had to say was he was sorry, it was a miss communication and he apologized. I told him I told the lady at the desk which room and building we were in, then he said he was right there with the lady at the time I called, she did not tell him the building just the room ( I found this out while talking to him) so that tells you she did not give the right information. I am not a complainer, but this ruined our Easter. Needless to say we will not be back.
Tip: No hot water, and the worse customer service

"Great area.....HORRIBLE service"
March, 2016
I am very disappointed with our experience. We arrived Friday, check in was easy, people seemed nice, place seemed clean, etc for the price $300 (2 night 2 bed 2 bath condo, includes check in fee and such).

So fast forward to about 30 minutes after our arrival (not even fully unpacked yet) our "concierge" (Dennis) comes to our room to welcome us. He tells me a bit about the property and family orientation and how the grandfather died a few weeks ago and so on... Then goes on to say that they love feedback and suggestions and for a bit of our time he will knock off a $100 for an additional night for us to go to a presentation. Please keep in mind this is my first trip as an adult. I liked the idea of helping a company grow by ideas and such and figured what the heck for $100 I'll do it.... Well, turned out we were there from 9 am to after 12 and it was a sales pitch, which it did say on the form I signed, I just didn't fully read it. The guys were great and their plan wasn't technically bad but I was not buying. We leave, after my kids sat waiting quietly for hours to do "fun" things.
After our nice day we get back and I call the service desk to pay for the difference for the extra night. I was informed they couldn't find anything. I gave her our "concierge" name and she said she'll call him. Guess what....two minutes later, he doesn't "recall" this....well luckily I have the paperwork copy. So I call him, he says apparently the sales guys stated that I didn't show my ID and credit card when we showed so they couldn't complete the presentation. That was the first thing they asked for at 9 am! They have my credit card info and I was informed by Dennis that if we didn't attend they would charge $100 on it. I have checked and the charge isn't there....yet...and it better not be or I won't be just writing reviews.
I would like to throw a fit and act like the mad customer I deserve to be right now but I won't put my kids through that. Instead, they have lost business and hopefully this steers others away. It's sad really, BC we really liked the resort and planned on coming back. We were going to stay until Monday even without the $100 off. Instead we are going to go to a different resort for the additional night....

Now if my card gets charged....this will end waaaaaayyyyy differently but as of now...I will leave quietly and not hand these people another dime
Tip: Customer service is not priority

"Second time at Still Water-I'm sure there will be 3rd."
October, 2015
Spent three nights at Still Water. I was able to book a wonderful deal on the room and SDC tickets using Reserve Branson. Couldn't find a better deal anywhere else! We stayed in one of their rooms with double queens. Plenty of space and comfortable. I like the easy checkout too. We spent most of our time at Silver Dollar City, but they have lots to do on the property. Swimming, biking, play grounds. Nice place, we'll be back!
Tip: No maid service--towel exchange offered.

We are currently on night 4 of a 7 night stay at stillwater. We first came here 2 years ago and even though wev don't use the amenities, the price, cleanliness and quiet were enough to get us to book 3 more times...this time is different and it has actually made me sad. When we checked in for our 7 night anniversary stay, we were sent over to our concierge (this is new to us). He said that since we have stayed here so much he wanted to give us information for a new membership program they have. I immediately asked him if this was a timeshare. He said "no, you use it here." I thought, ok....if it's some kind of program for this resort where we get discounts or something, I will listen. He also said we would get $130 room credit for our stay. The time he had for us was on Monday morning (our anniversary). I thought, no big deal, we will still have our full day to celebrate. Little did I know that the meeting we had would pretty much ruin my attitude for the remainder of the day. We were greeted by the sales person (or whatever we called himself), who immediately dove into a lengthy conversation about all the travel he and his family do for practically free. I tried not to interrupt but immediately sensed what was coming. He then proceeded to talk to us like we were stupid by saying things like "so, you would rather rent your vacation and just throw away your money". After him pushing this subject for a bit, he took us on the tour. He sped down to the marina (we have been here 4 times...seen it), then took us to the members only area. The condos are lovely, but for me it depends on the cost because I was still under the impression that there was some kind of option to only have access to stillwater (that's what I asked the concierge before I even said I would do this). The sales person still continued to double-talk until I came out and asked how much. He told me $22,000. We went back to the office and I told him that if he would like to give me information, I would gladly look over it and let him know before our stay was over. At that point, Mr. Friendly was not very friendly anymore. He told me that if I left the desk, the offer was off the table (like $220/month for 120 months was doing me a favor). He then said my favorite thing ever... he said, "i don't care if you buy anything or not. I get my $200 no matter what. The owners of this resort are paying $400 for each person to do this presentation and I get my $200 either way". I then told him that I would have to be stupid to give him $22,000 with as little information as I have been given or without taking some time to think about it. He then became Mr. Extremely Rude and said, "are you calling me stupid? I own 4 timeshares " . At that point, i was either going to make a scene or laugh in his face so I said, "are we done?". He left his desk and then came the "sales manager" . I explained to him that if he wanted to give me some info to take back and read, I would let him know tomorrow. He bizarrely explained that they can't do such a thing because they only have that 2 hour window available to talk to me....hilarious.... no reputable business works like that. As soon as I got back to the condo, I looked up the company, RCI. They have horrible , horrible reviews. If the management/owners of stillwater read this, I would like to say to them that this whole experience soured me to the joy I used to feel by coming here. I understand that you are building on and growing and maybe letting RCI in is a way to pay for your growth but I think you are losing the thing that most of the repeat customers liked. Instead of quiet, you now have golf carts shuttling people around and sales people who bully or talk to your customers like they are stupid. Also, I must say; if what that man says is true and he is making $200 for each presentation, you are grossly overpaying him. If stillwater had a program exclusive to them where people could become members and keep the one on one that we liked, I think you would actually gain more customers because many of us liked you because you weren't one of this timeshare places that you seem to be turning into. I've already warned a friend who I referred that is coming next month to avoid this presentation . I also think we might have to pursue other options for our next branson stay.

This was a 1980s movie come to life for us!! Family activities galore! Totally awesome!! The marina has many freebies (items to borrow) including the aqua cycles, kayaks, and vests. On the property, we also enjoyed the pool, enormous hot tub, and water slide!! Give the pizza a try also. The mushroom was delicious!! Keep an eye out for wildlife also; one night we were on the patio, and saw a possum and deer run past the back patio facing the marina. Great location to stay at if you are visiting Silver Dollar City. Quick drive. We loved our time here and hope to visit again during the warmer months.
