"Better than expected"

We were down in D building near the indoor pool. The room was surprisingly nice for a cheap hotel. The indoor pool was nice but definitely was not actually 5 ft deep. There are balconies off of the pool. Not far from main strip.
Breakfast was packed and not worth the effort.

Nice pool and the staff was wonderful. The rooms are a little out of date, but very clean. I would not suggest eating at the continental breakfast though.

"Spring break weekend"

The front desk staff was great. The room was good beds were clean and comfortable enough. The pool was nice and the breakfast ladies work very hard to put out a good breakfast. The only thing we didn't like was the air conditioning wasn't working properly but it was cool enough outside to run the fan and keep it cool. We would stay here again.

"Southern Oaks"

After finding out thag SO had been on Hotel Impossible, we thought it would be an awesome experience. While the rooms were clean, the rest of the hotel left a lot to be desired. We were in the family suites in the main building above the lobby. We had an outside entrance to enter with a second key, but it was hard to unlock. The ice machine didn't work on our side of the hotel, so we had to go to the very back of the hotel to get ice. The swimming pool room was very humid and bit, but the swimming pool was amazing. Breakfast was served in the basement of the pool building. Breakfast wasn't good at all and options were limited. It wasn't worth the walk with our 4 kids to eat. We were one of few in the hotel during our stay. If I had to, I would stay there again. But only if I had to..

We booked our hotel and shows through Reserve Branson. Glad we did! Our overall experience was great! The hotel owners/managers were very friendly and helpful. This and an older hotel with rooms being recently updated some. Not the best but nice enough, clean, easy access, breakfast included. Would stay there again.

"Pleasantly surprised "

I booked this room because of the really good rate. After I booked it i checked the reviews and was literally scared to death. But I was surprised. Nice indoor pool, no bedbugs and a friendly staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable. These are a the things that I read negative reviews on. I called first and voiced my concerns and the girl that answered the phone was helpful and understanding. The check in process went smoothly. We did have some issues getting in the door to the building our room was in but they came out and helped. Also apologized for the trouble. Once to the room I checked everything and it was clean and nice! Would for sure stay there again

when we were there the health department shut down the pool they told us the breakfast was not approved by the health department the only reason we booked this hotel was for the pool and the free breakfast there was a dirty sock underneath the bed and Cheerios from a previous guest

We booked two rooms for the cheer competition that was in town and upon entering room 246 we found a Seagrams cap in the floor and a twist tie on the teeny tiny fridge. We had brought food for the kids to eat and when I looked for a microwave there was none. I called downstairs and was informed that all the rooms haven't been updated with them yet, even though the advertisement stated there was one in the rooms. Later we needed ice and lo and behold there isn't an ice bucket either...I guess due to no update as well. Breakfast this morning was crazy. They only have 10 tables that seat 4 each for the entire hotel to come war breakfast. It was so crowded and the food area was a tiny corner and people were bumping into each other and trying to maneuver around two tables they had set up in that corner as well. The waffle machines didn't work properly so there was also a female staff member standing there the whole time scraping waffles off the iron. The biscuits and gravy they boast about consisted of rock hard biscuits and watery gravy. Fruit was a small plastic container of pineapple cocktail. 3 cereal to choose from and egg. These owners need to supply seating for all the guests and open up the food area....it felt like we were cattle in a chute. Lets not forget the housekeepers that smoke like freight trains....I do not nor do I want my grandson and my children walking through smoky fogs everywhere...THE POOL WAS.NOT HEATED!!!! IT WAS FREEZING!!!!!? We will not be staying here again. EVER!!!!

"The room from hell"

We checked into the inn and had an issue right off the bat, we ordered a king room with a jetted tub and it didn't have it... extra money down the drain!! I went to hang my towel from the shower up and the towel rack completely broke, with the weight of one hotel towel!! Then the night that we stayed when we went to bed I heard something at 3 am... RATS!!! They were in the ceiling, you could head them scurrying around and making racket and it was pretty gross! I couldn't really get back to sleep after this, the pool was suppose to be closed but there were still people in it making a lot of noise. (our room was across from the pool) That same morning for breakfast we ate in the lobby, cold eggs and a waffle maker that didn't work needless to say we really didn't eat here. This was the worst travel experience I've ever had, the staff didn't seem to know anything when asked questions. Do NOT stay here unless you have no intention to sleep at night.

"Good overall for the price"

You get what you pay for. We paid $51 for a double queen (2 adults, 2 kids). Branson area hotels were booked up for some reason and we were looking for a cheap ($70-$80) yet decent, place to stay with an indoor pool for the kids. This hotel was not even on our radar until we found several others were full. We decided to give it a shot. Rooms were large and clean. The pool was good size (no hot tub) and heated nicely as well. It felt like like warm bath water = nice. I never dock points on a hotel based on "free" breakfast, I consider it a bonus that could help a score. In this hotels case, breakfast sucked... bad. Overall, 4 stars for being better than expected for a cheap rate.
