"Just ok..."
June, 2015
Our air conditioning never did work. Out king Jacuzzi suite was right adjacent to the atrium where the pool was and was way too loud. Free breakfast....well, at least it was free. The bacon was good. That was it. But I could live off bacon. Jacuzzi in nearly every room, so that's not really a special selling point if that is what you want. And Jacuzzi tub is in the bathroom and does fit two people....would be more romantic in the actual room. Housekeeping are persistent even when you have told them you don't need anything and they keep waking you up! There was NO free HBO like advertised and also no free WiFi. I was very disappointed in this place.

"Nice place but outdated"

This is a nice place but room and fixtures ect were out dated. Beds were not the most comfortable. Breakfast was not very good. Plus I think a lot of bus excursions stay there and so the breakfast area was packed full of people with no where to go. This lodge was not terrible just not ideal. The lodge look in some areas was pretty . The location was good and close to a lot of things to do.

My son and I go to Branson every year for a Mother/Son getaway, and I've always thought this place looked like an interesting place to stay. One year we actually saw a show here and explored the hotel at that time. The rate when we go usually runs around $100/night. I like to stay in the $50-60 range. I saw a Groupon for $67/night and it was available the night we went. I was excited to give it a try to see if a $100/night room was really that much better. The lobby area is nice and welcoming. The check-in process was easy and the lady was nice. They have several outdoor sitting areas and a nice courtyard. The pool is a nice size, but they had just closed when we finally made it down. They also very a decent workout room. This is where the disappointment begins. As we walked to our room #323 I noticed the carpets in the halls were dirty. When we got to our room I was more shocked. The pictures posted are from the actual carpet in our room. Wow!!! The height of the mattresses on the beds were lower than my knees and I'm only 5'5". They were older than any bed I have slept on in a long time. The bathtub and sink were very slow to drain and the shower head was short for even me!! Breakfast was the same as the cheaper hotels we stay at, but not as good in my opinion. Barely decent but free. Normally we stay in Branson 2-3 nights when we go, but opted for just one night this time, thank goodness. I'm really not one to complain, I don't mind old decor, etc. As long as it is clean. Fortunately we were able to try it out at a discounted rate. Unfortunately, we will bit be staying here again, bit would I recommend them.

"Pretty Good Stay"

Stayed at Lodge of Ozarks for a Navy ship reunion. Got a very nice group rate. The place has recently had a total management change in last couple of months. Not sure if good or bad. For whatever reason they lost their liquor license, so no bar or happy hour kinds of set up. Didn't use the indoor pool but it looked pretty nice to me. Very comfortable and clean room. Housekeeping was very good. I am surprised how quiet it was overall. The place was booked full. Even with several tour bus loads of guests I could hear a pin drop. Pleasantly surprised. Breakfast buffet was fairly good. Usual fare. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy, etc. All pretty good. NOTE! If you're a coffee lover get your Java fix elsewhere! Coffee is horrible! Basically dark water! Overall a pretty good stay for a big tourist town. Would stay here again if in Branson.

"Good place to stay on the strip"

We used to stay here back in the 90's when Branson was hopping. Kind of sad to see how things have changed. Compared to other places we saw along the strip, this still seems to be the best place to stay. Miss the bar, restaurant, shops. The lady that checked us in was very nice, didn't catch her name. Room was clean. The breakfast was very nice for a hotel breakfast. Loved the live music. I don't think I'll be returning to Branson but if I do, would probably stay here.

I stayed here because I was attending a retreat that was being held here. The retreat was wonderful, but his hotel his going down fast. My room was clean and that's the best thing I can say. The ladies restroom outside our meeting room was not well-stocked and not particularly clean. The carpet in the hallways is filthy. One hand towel per room, skimpy soap, dim lighting, worn out mattresses are a few of the obvious issues. The plumbing is really showing its age. The tub drains very slowly and the toilets in some of the rooms don't work properly. I will not stay here again even if the retreat IS held here.
