"Great hotel on the strip"

This hotel is located across the street from the Ride the ducks on the strip. It's very clean and comfortable. We was very happy with our room and the staff was very friendly. It has a fairly small indoor pool which my granddaughter loved. It's definitely priced well compared to some of the other hotels! I'd recommend this hotel as we've stayed here 3x now.
Tip: If you want your room cleaned, don't forget to put the card in your door before you leave for the day.

Me and my family went to branson and stayed 4 nights at grand Victorian. Very nice hotel and very nice staff running it. The indoor pool was amazingly taken care of. Rooms are very nice and the food was great,

When choosing this hotel, I read other reviews. Many stated that the beds were rock hard. They were hard and I do prefer soft, but they weren't bad. I slept fine. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was wonderful. The only issue we had was our microwave was old and would shut off in the middle of running to cool down. The facility was elegant and inviting. The room had a fridge and microwave, everything you need. We requested a balcony and got one. We enjoyed the pool and easy access to other attractions. Would stay here again.
Tip: Close to shopping and other attractions.

"Valentine's Day Retreat at Hotel Grand Victorian"

My husband and I traveled with another couple for a weekend stay over Valentine's Day. We had such a great time and were very impressed with the Jacuzzi suite with balcony. Clean, comfortable, quiet, & relaxing. Too cold for the balcony. Received 8 inches of snow and the staff were beyond excellent. They offered a later checkout due to weather and staff came and shoveled out all the vehicles and had the whole lot cleared and de-iced. Wow! they were all just fabulous. We also liked the pool, hot tub, breakfast and tea and the exercise room. Thank you!
Tip: Right by the Tanger Outlet Mall and right on the strip with all the shows. Super Convenient

"Beautiful hotel"

My three year old son and I took a trip away for the weekend and stayed at the Hotel Grand Victorian. Beautiful hotel and lovely rooms! The piano and huge teddy bears in the lobby were definitely a hit with my son. The people were extremely nice and helpful as well. We cannot wait to use our frequent visitor card next time :)

The location of the Grand Victorian is in walking distance to shops and restaurants etc. except it was too hot while we were there to walk. Pretty from the outside when coming down the road. A little worn and dated on the inside. The cost was very reasonable and a warm breakfast was included which changed each morning. Staff was very helpful with shows etc. They have an indoor and outdoor pool. Went to the indoor pool but they must have just chlorinated it so we did stay. My eyes were burning.

Cleaning staff is exceptional! They are constantly working to keep things as clean as possible. Our maid, a woman I believe was from Jamaica from her accent, was so sweet whenever our grandbaby had a mishap when most would have been aggravated to have more work nearing the end of their shift. I hope she got the $20 bill I left with the manager for her when I checked out! The issues, however, seriously need addressing because they can cause injury! The carpets, especially on the first floor, are so badly stretched out that there are literal ripples throughout the entire floor! These make operating a wheelchair difficult, and for people with medical issues who cannot walk as neurotypical people do, can easily trip after catching their feet on these ripples. Some stood 4-5 inches high in the main 1st floor hallway! Replace your carpets or restretch them for safety! Then, there is a MASSIVE chunk of concrete missing on the rear sidewalk. It is large enough to completely tip over a wheelchair or even trip a neurotypical person walking, and it would not be seen until the person was right upon it, especially at night! This is on a downhill slant as well so it could cause serious harm. There are smaller maintenance issues that need to be addressed like door handles so loose they literally have space between the handle and door, the AC units need recharged with Freon because they do not blow cold, and the ice machines need cleaned (several chunks of black mold and debris found in the ice!). We stayed in a pet friendly room and there were scratches on the inside of the door and the carpet was destroyed at the door as well, exposing the carpet tack strip. The room carpets are in serious need of steam cleaning! Yes, the cleaning staff keep them as clean as possible, but they still need shampooed regularly! Invest in the quick-dry steam clean machines made for hotels/businesses where you can clean the carpets and they are dry within the hour! Clean them at least once a week, especially during peak vacation times! We found ANTS, SPIDERS, and ROACHES in our room! Please spray regularly, especially on ground floor and during summer when these creatures are trying to escape the outside heat! The toilet and tub area in our room was miniscule! If you are a larger person, you will not be able to close the door after you enter! They have replaced the tub/shower, which is great because it is larger, but it leaves literally only enough space to open the door. You have to straddle the toilet or slide between the tub and toilet to close the door. The toilet is not handicap accessible so it sits very low to the ground. Great for the kids, but tough if you have knee, hip, or spinal issues and there are no grab bars for assistance. Not everyone is handicapped enough to need a wheelchair accessible room and little things like grab bars and the taller toilets make a big difference, especially whenever people are doing excessive walking like you do in Branson and have sore/stiff joints! The soaps and shampoos are wonderful, and the bedding is fluffy down-filled comforters. There are even what appear to be feather pillows on the bed in both firm and soft, but the mattresses are very firm. Be aware of this is you prefer a softer or memory foam type bed. The pool area outside is small, with room for about 10 people around the pool ,and the deep end is 5 feet. Perfect for taking the younger kids to enjoy the sunshine! The indoor pool area is quite large and the deep end is 6 feet. The outdoor pool closes at 10pm, indoor at midnight. The "entertainment room" was a disappointment. Do not count on it to keep your kids entertained! There are only a few games in it, with only 2 working while we were there, and they all cost .50-1.00 to play. They should be free, especially if you advertise them as a perk to the hotel! The breakfast was decent. If you are used to the Holiday Inn Express breakfast then you will be disappointed here, but most people seemed happy enough. The only real issue I had with breakfast is that there were people at 9.30am trying to get scrambled eggs, oatmeal, and other items on the bar onto their plates but the workers literally took the food away while the people were dipping the serving spoons in! Come on workers! I understand you want to clean up and go home but these are items you are going to take and throw away so why not leave those pans until the very end so that the paying guests can eat them?! To literally knock the serving spoon out of the lady's hand so you can take the food to throw it away is a shi&&y thing to do!!! Shame on you! I learned a very expensive lesson with this hotel that will stay with me. When we checked in, we had to call because we were travelling with our dog. I was asked if we had anything like AAA, AARP, or military for discounts and I told them we had AARP but that I understood if it did not apply to the rate advertised. On their actual hotel site, they advertised a 3-day stay discount of 84.95/night so I assumed that was what we would be charged, especially after verifying it during our direct conversation with the employee to reserve the room. We did not get a confirmation of rates when we checked in, and did not get a receipt when we checked out so I assumed it would be emailed to me at the address I had provided. I never got anything so had to check my credit card charges to know what my final bill was. I am glad I checked because they charged me at 109.00/night! I had to call and speak with the manager and he seemed to not even be aware this price was advertised on their own website! He did end up refunding me for the price difference, but look at how many people never check and are ended up charged more! That is $85 we were overcharged! For every positive, there are negatives to this hotel. Just weigh out what is important to you and be aware of the issues and if they will affect your stay.

The hotel decor is absolutely beautiful and comfortable. We didn't want to leave! Indoor and outdoor pools were perfect and warm. Can't wait to go back for a longer stay. We enjoyed high tea in the afternoon using fine china at no extra cost.

We paid $120 per night and stayed two nights for two queen bed with 2 adults and 2 very young (free) children. The rooms were very small, there were small things that were broken around the hotel room like a nob on the toilet seat made it wobbly. The TVs were tiny. The air conditioner was slow to cool and smelt like burnt rubber. You can't check in till 4 pm & breakfast is not ready till 7 am. The breakfast was a hot breakfast but the eggs tasted like powered eggs. Average breakfast for a hot bar. The guy that whistles non stop was kind of annoying especially since he was preparing the food. (Spit flying!) The hot tub was warm water. And the showers were warm at best. If you want a hot shower take it before 7 am. The teddy bears upfront were DIRTY. The ice machine near us was broke although there two others on the third and fourth floor that worked. Other than the bears the hotel was clean. I will give them a 10 on the beds. The beds were VERY comfortable. The hotel was centrally located on 76 around all the attractions which made getting to hotel and returning slow. We went to Titanic, Ride the Ducks, Dixie Stampede, Silver Dollar City, Amish Store, Talking Rocks & Acrobats of Shanghai. Most of those events were withing 2 miles but took 20-30 minutes to get to them because the weekend traffic on 76 hwy. In summary, I expected a lot more than what we received for the price we paid. We were disappointed and will pick a different hotel next time. This is a $75 - $80 hotel at best and still at that price only average.

This is a fine hotel with average rooms. It IS very clean, the beds were very soft, and we enjoyed our stay. A few critiques - the hallway carpet was quite loose - with ridges where it was stretched out - and the inside pool was extremely strong with chlorine. To the point that even just watching the kids from the deck chairs burned my eyes! The highlight - breakfast was exceptional. Great selection (from waffles to fruit to fresh eggs and sausage). The salsa (for eggs) was fresh and homemade - I asked to be sure - and it was delicious! The breakfast chef and server were super friendly and quick to respond to any of our needs! They really did go above and beyond. I was disappointed that our total bill was $176.00 for four people for one night when all the sites (including TripAdvisor) indicated that the rate was generally around $80.00) But, we were told this was a busy weekend and most everywhere was booked - so there were no rooms avail. at that rate. Shame on us for waiting until the last moment - but we definitely paid for it.
