"Great location"

The Hilton was situated really well in the Branson Landing with a ton of shopping and food options close by. The rooms were good sized and were nice. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the parking was disconnected from the hotel and the night we stayed it poured rain, but overall I'd stay there again.

"Not worth the price."

The hotel grounds were really nice and well manicured. the parking garage was a little confusing but it was well lit and clean. My deluxe king room was not so deluxe. the bed was comfortable and the room was overall clean, but the furniture had some stains and the room felt "used". the view from the room was ok. we ordered room service and the food was amazing, however the "hot" breakfast was "warm". the room service attendant was on time and very professional. all of the staff were nice and welcoming, just expected a little more eye contact from the front desk. overall a good experience but not great.

We usually always stay at the Hampton Inn on the strip when we visit Branson. This year was our 5rth wedding anniversary, so I thought it would be nice to stay on the landing. We reserved a Superior King non smoking room. When we checked in we were told that we were upgraded to a condo suite. My wife was disappointed about the "upgrade", because she wanted a hotel room. Her reasoning was that people go to condos for a week at a time with their families. Upon arriving at our room I understood why. The room had a strong smell of DOG. The hardwood floor had a thin layer of dirt and the furniture had layers of dust. We were there three days and housekeeping seemed to do everything but dust. The carpet on the right side was stiff and buckled presumably from multiple times of cleaning dog urine. Had I known the hotel was pet friendly, I would have gone elsewhere. I have 2 dogs , but I board them or get a pet sitter. I know my pets and they are house pets, but I don`t know other people's pets. I believe some people leave their pets in the room while they sightsee etc. The condos are one building over from the hotel, so further away from the parking garage. Parking is $13 per day if you park it and $16 per day if you let a valet park it. There is no breakfast service like you would have at the Hampton or a coffee bar for us early birds who get up and read and have coffee. There is a coffee pot in the room, but not the same. The coffee shop on the landing opens at 8 am and the only other place is Starbucks across the street (not a favorite of mine).

It amazes me that this hotel isn't among the top five in Branson, because it should be! The hotel's best feature is the rooms (jump to the second paragraph). The location is easy to access just off Route 65 in downtown Branson. There's lots of good things about the location, but perhaps the best is that it's easy to avoid the traffic of "The Strip." On the weekend of my visit, I made trips to Silver Dollar City, Top Of The Rock and other places without ever hitting any traffic and I never even saw the tacky Strip. The hotel heart of Branson Landing, a touristy but pleasant collection of restaurants and shops as well as a few bars; and just across the street from the little downtown shopping district and the convention center. Parking is convenient in multi-floor garage immediately next door. There's a charge for it, but that should be of little surprise for a downtown/convention center location (even in little Branson). The restaurant within the facility, Big Whiskey's, is casual and just okay. They have a decent breakfast buffet that runs through 10:30 a.m. Waxy O'Shea's Irish Pub appears to be a tenant of the Hilton. It's a fun bar that has live entertainment (or a DJ) on many nights. Many locals go there and it seems that some nights are more hopping than others. The rooms are the star of this property. There's actually two buildings -- north (main with the lobby) and south, which are separated by only a short distance in a very pleasant outdoor space. My room was in the south building. Although the more remote of the two, I found this to be a plus. Once moved in, there was no need to deal with a lobby -- just go inside that building and up the elevator, just line the tenants of the apartment buildings that surround the hotel. Also, most of not all of the rooms in the south building have balconies (see pictures), whereas only a few on the main building appeared to. On such new construction (2006, I believe), hotel room balconies are uncommon (except at the beach). Other unusual aspect for a modern building included wide hallways with some character and very high ceilings throughout. My king room was of modest size, but also had the balcony (regular door, not a sliding door -- another bonus) and a very spacious bathroom with a giant walk-in shower. The shower has a large opaque window that allows for the unusual ability to take a morning shower with only natural light. The room also had a wall a large counter top, a stainless steel mini-fridge, a microwave, a sink and a coffee maker. The inclusion of several cabinets that remained empty was a bit puzzling. Had there been room for a living area with a couch, this would have been a suite. My room didn't face the river and the fountain with its dancing waters, but it overlooked active railroad tracks and the town's train station, which was cool (see pics from the balcony). I enjoyed the rumble of the trains coming through at various times of the day, but lighter sleepers may want to be sure to get room facing a different direction. In terms of cleanliness, it was 100% clean and housekeeping did a good job each day. Everything in the room was in great condition. The only indicator that the room wasn't nearly brand new was some flaking of the faux leather headboard. WiFi was easy to connect to and was acceptably fast. Sleep quality is great. Very comfortable bed with good linens and lots of pillows. Blackout curtains make the room dark at any hour. There's also a lot of attention to detail with design. Stained wooden boxes sat over top of HVAC units in the hallways (see picture). The hallways are anything but cookie cutter in appearance and include a chair rail (see picture). Towel racks in the bathroom are mounted to decorative wooden pieces instead of directly to the wall. The lobby is big, but is a little on the boring side. I had very little interaction with the staff, but the front desk staff that I communicated with on check-in, check-out and one other time, were all nice and professional. The exterior of the buildings is also in good condition and have an appealing look to them.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Promenade in Branson. Pros, the hotel is very nice, the location is excellent, the restaurant in the hotel is a great value for breakfast in the mornings and the condo units we stayed in had very nice tubs and showers with lots of room. The cons, the units are a little pricey and they could stand to be a bit better soundproofed (but not much worse than many other hotels).
