"Great family spot!"
January, 2019 NEW
Pulled up and I was the only one at check-in!! Got our tickets and extra freebies, headed to the room which was very nice and clean! Water park went well, at times was a little cold and could be a little warmer for the kiddos. It was to cold for me, but did have a nice hot tub! No complaints there. Went to get our free pizza for dinner, fun environment and then we headed to the arcade to play! Tons of things to do!! Next day we went to the pet show, kids loved it. Went and did go-karts and laser tag, worth the money!!!! Very good trip for our “mommy and me” trip!!! My only complaint I had was while going to bed it was like having a toddler on the floor above us and running back and forth for like 2 hours. It was hard for my kiddos to go to sleep as well. But other than that it went great! Hope this helps!!

"Fantastic surprise!"
November, 2018
The room was very nice. The front desk was exceptional! The indoor water park was fun. There was food on the premises so we didn't have to get back out into the traffic. The only thing I could ask for was more parking. The kids enjoyed the cake and popcorn party.

Tip: I had never considered staying here before. When we decided to go to Branson, it was hard to get a room for five people. This popped up on the search and we took it. I am glad we did. Everyone enjoyed the stay. It was worth the cost. The room looked newly renovated. Wonderful staff at all the resort.

"Expected more for the price"
October, 2018
Price was kind of high for what you get.... Hotel was okay, its outdated, could have been a little cleaner. Lots of stuff to do on site, however, it all cost extra $$. Waterpark was okay, my 10 and 7 year old got bored after 45 minutes or so.

The internet is very misleading a lot of little kid play area pools were outside enclosed my daughter was not allowed to go down the slide indoors when she goes down slides at our hometown part that comes out into six foot deep water when there is it's only like a foot deep very disappointed the only thing they had going for our visit was the front desk was very friendly

"Needs updates"
August, 2018
Overall fairly clean. Outside elevator disgusting and we found a roach in our room on the last night. A safe in the room would be nice. Also, a better comforter or bedspread that actually covers the entire bed would be nice. The waterpark really geared toward young kids, not a lot for older kids to do. Kids are allowed in one of hot tubs but workers don’t ensure that they stay out of the adult only one. If you are an adult needing a break from kids, you aren’t going to get it in the hot tubs.

"Awesome place for the baby!"
July, 2018
We stayed for the first time with my 1.5 year old. I was really hesitant on whether or not the park would be worth the money. Definitely was! That is the only thing that kept him busy in the evenings! And he slept like a rock! Too little too enjoy the other perks of staying but we will be back to test those out as well!

We made the mistake of staying at the Grand Country Inn. While we were there, we decided to fo to the Fun Spot to kill some time. We purchased game cards and to my astonishment, I was charged tax for video games. Wth lol. So we played some games, and when we were through, we took our kids to cash in their tickets. The kids picked out some items. Our daughter immediately changed her mind after choosing something and the worker at the counter said they could not exchange after an item has been chosen. Again wth. So with our daughter crying and upset, the workers continue on. We will never be back to the Fun Spot again.

We booked on Groupon, after reading the reviews between this and another one, this seemed like the better bet. Check in took forever, not really sure why. We got a room in the building in the back down the hill. I’m happy I read the reviews first, that’s the only way I knew that the indoor water park is not connected to any of the hotels. You have to walk outside to get there no matter what. The room was clean. We had the room with the bunk beds in it. We stayed at a room like this at Great Wolf and assumed it would be the same but they were poorly placed. There were some holes in walls between us and the kids and the lights from the room was bothering the kids, so we asked for some more blankets to give them some darkness and their privacy as well. The first night, we were up all night long. We could hear everything going on in the room next to us, and kids running up and down the walk way to all hours of the night. My son was in tears by the middle of the night because he was so tired and the people next to us were having a party. The next day we stayed out most of the day and came back to the hotel to go swimming. The whole pool area was slightly disappointing. I don’t know what I was really expecting, but it was disappointing. There was an “adult” hot tub area and a more kid friendly one, and there were kids all in the adult one complaining of getting sick. There really wasn’t just a pool to hang out in. We went back to the room a little earlier then planned, and up all Night again with the noise. Am I happy we stayed there? Sure. In the grand picture it was a fun little place for the kids. Would I do it again? No.

In the final analysis, my family had a good time at this resort--I rate it three rather than two stars for that reason. There was plenty to do on site with kids; the room was clean, albeit basic and a little pungent. My daughters enjoyed the animal show and miniature golf, as well as the indoor pool and water park. The theatre was nice, though, had it not been for my animal-loving daughter's interest, I do not know that we would have checked out any of the shows offered. We did not try the buffet. Check-out was easy. Our most positive staff interactions were with the cleaning crew, who went out of their way to be helpful and attentive. There is a great deal of room for improvement for this resort. Our check-in played like a not so funny comedy of errors. There were three attendants to handle the volume of customers right at check in time--it took 20 minutes to get to the front of the line. Once we were assigned our room key and number, we were given access to a room that was already inhabited. We had to return to the front desk (which entailed packing up the car, kids, and driving back to the main building) to straighten it out. On more than one occasion during our two-night stay, the key stopped working and had to be re-programmed. The attendants were apologetic and courteous--it was clear that this was not out of the ordinary, and that the most they could do was smile and fix it. The complex is quite spread out and badly outdated (which I found somewhat charming--it reminded me of childhood family vacations). We got lucky with a 60-degree weekend in January. Otherwise, the kids would have absolutely frozen moving to and from the indoor water park and pool. It is difficult to find, much less access the entrance to the water park, and is quite a few steps from the closest drop-off point. The entrance is not clearly marked--it took us several tries to even find the building. My point is this: if you stay at this resort, please understand that this is a no-frills kind of experience. For an inexpensive, relatively entertaining, low-key getaway with kids, this may be worth the time and money. Were we ever to visit the area again, we would look elsewhere for lodging.

The rooms were very clean and roomy, water park was a big disappointment, needs some rehab just to spruce it up, very small, but comparing it to Great Wolf lodge which we did last year this place really let us down the kids were bored within an hour and didn’t want to go back.

My three daughters and I stayed here Jan. 1-3 using a winter deal Grand Country was offering. First the rooms: Decent, clean. The beds were comfortable. A little tight for the four of us, but we got along just fine. The resort: My girls LOVED the indoor water park, which was a big part of the trip. Lots of fun. Hot tubs. Slides. Lazy River. More. My only complete is it seemed they went very heavy on the chlorine, but it was fun. Laser tag was fun. Indoor mini golf was fun. The arcade was fun. Kids enjoyed the buffet (a little pricey) and the pizza place. All in all, it was a good trip for my kids, which was the point.
