"Had a blast!!"
Reviewed July, 2016 NEW
We absolutely LOVED our trip to Grand Country Inn. Over the course of our 5 day stay we only left the resort once! There was so much to do and experience right on the grounds. We have children 9,8 & 4 years old and the water parks were great for all of them. We felt the kids were well entertained and in a safe environment. The restaurant/concessions were reasonably priced so that also kept us from needing to venture out.
Tip: Check into the all inclusive options and maybe bring your own shampoo. The free shampoo provided isn't the greatest.

The whole family had a great time staying at the Grand Country Inn. The water park was great for the kids, especially when it is 100 outside. Would stay at the Inn again with no hesitation.
Tip: Water park is on west side of facilities for those disabled and with small children.

"Nice place for kids"
Reviewed June, 2016
This is a great place to take children for a vacation. The rooms were clean, the waterpark was nice and the arcade was a blast. My only complaint would be to add more chairs to the balconies. There isn't anywhere to sit outside and enjoy the evening.

"Never stay here again"
Reviewed October, 2015
Our family stayed here for one night and we will not do it again. We checked in with the front desk around noon. Our room wasn't ready so we went to the water park. We kept checking in with them for hours and finally after 5 pm I went to the manager to talk. I had to explain that my kids were tired and we had no room to stay in after paying them in advance. I wasn't happy and I made it known to him. After another hour we finally got put in a room directly across from the elivator. Our refrigerator didn't work so they had to send a maintance man to fix it. Again we left our room to allow him to fix it. After finally getting in our room I went to the coke machine and had it take my money without getting my drink. This was just a bad experience for our family and we won't go back.
Tip: Wouldn't recomend it.

"Nice for younger kids and preteens"
Reviewed March, 2015
Traveled with husband and 3 teen boys. We all had fun. We are an active family so didnt mind walking everywhere bc resort is open air not closed under one roof. I liked that most venues on property had late hours often open until 12am even on weekdays. We stayed in the average 2 queen room with rollaway bed which was actuallya real bed. The queen beds were not real comfortable. The waterpark was included and you get free unlimited ice tea but you pay sepatately for laser tag, golf, arcade, etc. I felt like we may have made out better financially getting a bigger more comfortable room elsewhere that was cheaper and using extra money to do specialized attractions. The 3 night 4 day trip with food and hotel came to about $1000 for 5 people which wasnt too bad. The resort was not packed for spring break which was a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend for younger or preteens...my older teens had fun but probably would have enjoyed ziplining and go carting which we could not fit in budget after paying for resort rate rooms.
Tip: Must walk to different resort activities or drive. Beds were not comfortable for me. Rollaway befs were nice. Most things open till 12am. Water in water slides was very cold!

"Excellent Family Getaway!"
Reviewed February, 2015
I took my three kids (9,10,12) to Branson to get away for a weekend and spend some quality time together. Grand Country Inn/ Indoor & Outdoor Water Park provided EVERYTHING we needed to have a great time and not have to drive around town. We were able to enjoy a huge indoor water park in February, walk across the parking lot to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as watch the infamous Branson shows. All with a 30 second walk! I would highly recommend Grand Country Inn/ Indoor & Outdoor Water Park for a change of pace with the family.

"Fun for kids. Rooms need Updating."
Reviewed January, 2015
My children had a blast at the arcade and indoor water park! We could of stayed there the whole trip and they would have been satisfied. I will say the rooms need a little updating. Also, the housekeeping leaves you two towels and asking for more is like pulling teeth.
Tip: In the winter months you do need to drive to the indoor water park. There is no indoor walkway connecting one building to another.

"Vacation"

Stuck in a room all the way on the other side of the property where inside water park is located. Informed desk that I have heart problems , and they moved us to a different room in the same building that was closer to the lone elevator on the property. Thus I never used any of the facilities due to the heat and the asphalt parking lot . The office and indoor water park is appx 2 blocks or more from the room we were placed in. Fortunately my wife and grand daughter were able to enjoy it. The room was over priced and average at best, Very noisy when trying to go to sleep and early morning. The shower had a very small shower head that made it hard to rinse off.The soap bar was about the size of a silver dollar. We also had ants coming in through the air conditioner.

"Great for kids!!!"

Reviewed August 11, 2016 NEW

We took a mini vacation with our 6 and 2 year old sons. It was perfect for our family vacation. There was a line when we checked in and apparently check in time can range from 3-5pm if they were full the previous night. I never saw any staff being rude, but I sure did see some rude customers about the late check in. I asked if there were any upgrades immediately available and there were, so we didn't have issues. So happy we upgraded to the clubhouse because our kids were thrilled with the bunks and their own tv with DVD player (which luckily we had packed movies). Were the rooms extravagant? No but through my kids eyes, it was perfect and through my eyes they were very clean! We ran over to Wal-Mart and stocked up on drinks, snacks and breakfast food since there was a mini fridge and microwave in the room. The water park is a little dated but my kids absolutely loved it! They had so much fun and it was perfect for their ages. They never wanted to leave. We had to drag them out. I loved that there was so much to do on the property and we didn't have to sit in the long traffic lines. We ate at the buffet twice. There was nothing special about it but it was decent food. We took the kids to the arcade and they loved it. They earned lots of tickets on the games and the prizes were much better than most places. And we had a late night ice cream treat one night. Overall it was perfect for our family and I'm sure we will be returning!

"Not exactly a "resort""
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5
Reviewed August 11, 2016 NEW

My family and I stayed at Grand Country "Resort" at the end of July/beginning of August. This is in no way what anyone would typically think of as a resort. This is a motel adjacent to a children's water park, restaurants, a family fun center, and a theater. You must walk outside and through a parking lot to get to each. We had an all-inclusive package deal, which included the hotel, free dining on the premises, free access to the children's water park and pools, 2-day tickets to Silver Dollar City, and tickets to Dixie Stampede. The motel room was adequate for our little family of two adults and two small children. We had a comfortable king sized bed, and a "clubhouse" bunk bed for the kids. The bathroom was clean, but VERY TINY (there was less than 1" of clearance between the toilet and the door). The shower head was spraying in all directions and needed maintenance. The onsite restaurants were okay. We mostly ate at the Grand Country Buffet, which had decent food. However, the buffet never varied its options. We ate at Papa Grand's pizza and pasta buffet one night for dinner. It was subpar and reminiscent of Cici's Pizza. For dessert, we tried Minnie's Camper, which has "fair style" foods like hot dogs, funnel cakes, and frozen custard. The funnel cakes were pretty good. I'm not certain the frozen custard was actually custard. It melted ridiculously fast and one of the workers told me it is a cross between soft serve and frozen yogurt?! The children's water park was fun for my 2-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son. Not so much for my husband and me. Aside from the lazy river and hot tub, there is little for the parents to do except stand around in our swimsuits getting sprayed with cold water, while the kids climb and slide. The theme park tickets were nice, and we had loads of fun at Silver Dollar City. Dixie Stampede is always entertaining (and yummy) as well. One note regarding the Dixie Stampede tickets: If you have a small child who won't be comfortable sitting on your lap during the dinner and show, MAKE SURE Grand Country gets you an actual ticket for the child. When we made our reservations for Dixie Stampede through Grand Country, we told them our 2-year-old would need her own seat, but Grand Country did not make the appropriate arrangements at Dixie Stampede. Because of this, we were late for the show and missed out on the family picture at the beginning.

"Okay stay, waterpark a little disappointing"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5
Reviewed August 10, 2016 NEW

There are many amenities on the property, but I was expecting a new facility. It appears there were a few older buildings that were refurbished (somewhat). It was clean, but feels like we overpaid for the use of the waterpark by staying in a very basic room.
