We came for a long weekend with our 6 year old granddaughter. The rooms were ready early. They were clean. The clubhouse rooms have LCD tv's and the other rooms I looked in had a CRT tv. The rooms are in 3 separate buildings, with outside access and an actual key to get in the room. The Fun Spot is like the pizza place with the mouse except the pizza is much better and the games give more tickets. They have an excellent pizza buffet compared to your average pizza place. Since it is winter we only did the indoor water park. You have to plan a little if it is cold but it is not that bad. Our 6 year old enjoyed the slides and river. The indoor pool is in another building which I like since it stopped any running back and forth. The only negative was the indoor pool did not have pool towels but if you plan for that you can get extra towels from housekeeping. Both buildings were nice and warm. Only did one show and it was OK. Did not eat the Grand Buffet but there were a lot of people eating it that were coming from off property. I would say a good deal. Some activities cost extra beyond the freebie and other are free for the entire stay so you can stay active and control the cost.
First, be prepared to wait until 5pm (closer to 5:30 for us) for your room to be ready even though the website and brochures all say 3pm. After driving 4 hours, all we wanted to do was relax and freshen up on our room, but couldn't. The man at the front desk kept telling us to come back and try again in 30 minutes about 4 times. He suggested we visit the Fun Zone while we wait. We would have had more fun, but the screening kids and long lines after driving all that way was not pleasant our relaxing. The bumper cars were not running that day, a further disappointment to our son. When we finally checked in, the room was clean, but outdated. The TV is from the 1980's, tube style. We ordered pizza from the on-site place and it was fast and very good! The shows were fantastic! We didn't like being bombarded by the folks right outside trying to hustle you into a time share vacation lecture. Shameless vultures. The food at the buffet was the best part, great selection and cooked fresh! My 9 year old loved the waterpark and we loved the hot tubs. Overall, we had a good time, but we may not be back just because it's kind of pricey for what we used that the resort had available.
The people who run the hotel at night were useless! They were NO help when the partying neighbors who were knocking on the walls & windows and cursing wouldn't stop at 1:30am. They wanted me to wake up my children to switch rooms! Do NOT stay here!

I was surprised to find it is a motel. There are no elevators, they are very outdated and felt dirty. We found someone else's hair from the downstairs region when we opened the shower curtain. We also found a child's toy that was not ours, in our room. The water park had algae growing between the tiles, and at the bottom of the slides. I was surprised to see there was not a full size pool. In the child's hot tub, my daughter accidentally touched the filter and slime floated out in the water. There was hair and fuzz hanging from the filter for days, never cleaned. It all felt so dirty. I will say it was cheap, thank Goodness! The shows were okay, the kids had a lot of fun at the fun spot and I liked we could get the full experience and stay right on property. It needs a good deep cleaning and upkeep. We will not return, and recommend our friends do the same.
