"Had a blast!!"
July, 2016
We absolutely LOVED our trip to Grand Country Inn. Over the course of our 5 day stay we only left the resort once! There was so much to do and experience right on the grounds. We have children 9,8 & 4 years old and the water parks were great for all of them. We felt the kids were well entertained and in a safe environment. The restaurant/concessions were reasonably priced so that also kept us from needing to venture out.
Tip: Check into the all inclusive options and maybe bring your own shampoo. The free shampoo provided isn't the greatest.

"Nice clean rooms."
July, 2016
The whole family had a great time staying at the Grand Country Inn. The water park was great for the kids, especially when it is 100 outside. Would stay at the Inn again with no hesitation.
Tip: Water park is on west side of facilities for those disabled and with small children.

"Nice place for kids"
June, 2016
This is a great place to take children for a vacation. The rooms were clean, the waterpark was nice and the arcade was a blast. My only complaint would be to add more chairs to the balconies. There isn't anywhere to sit outside and enjoy the evening.

"Never stay here again"
October, 2015
Our family stayed here for one night and we will not do it again. We checked in with the front desk around noon. Our room wasn't ready so we went to the water park. We kept checking in with them for hours and finally after 5 pm I went to the manager to talk. I had to explain that my kids were tired and we had no room to stay in after paying them in advance. I wasn't happy and I made it known to him. After another hour we finally got put in a room directly across from the elivator. Our refrigerator didn't work so they had to send a maintance man to fix it. Again we left our room to allow him to fix it. After finally getting in our room I went to the coke machine and had it take my money without getting my drink. This was just a bad experience for our family and we won't go back.
Tip: Wouldn't recomend it.

I have stayed there twice so I have more than one experience to judge by. This last time was HORRIFIC. When we got there, they had not planned for Spring Break crowd, waited TWO LONG hours with three kids to get a room assignment. Then we did a few of the activities, before retiring for the night only to find dried up sh## under the covers. We left and went over Grand Oaks (great hotel). Came back the next morning to get our weekend refunded. Manager would not work with us. One of the employees verified the poop. The would not work with us AT ALL. Pretty much told us we were lying, and then also deducted the cost of two of the vouchers. Absolute worst experience of my life!!!! I will never set foot on that property again. You can judge a business BEST not by how they run a regular normal day, but how they handle issues when they happen. Like admit a when a mistake is made, because it will happen, it's normal. It's very normal to have mistakes, it's how you handle them that show your TRUE COLORS.... WISH I COULD RATE 0 STARS.

Check in was horrible, arrive an hour early, completed all the paperwork but the room was not ready. Was told they would call my cell when it was, never received a call. Went back to find out if our room was ready and it was a complete zoo. There was a line out the door, waited 1/2 hour and then when it was our turn another 10 minutes just to get our keys. Why it takes 10 minutes to get keys is beyond me. Next day housekeeping never cleaned our room. Called the front desk and housekeeping several times, no one ever answered. I tracked down a housekeeping person and she was rushing to put away her cart and asked why my room had not been cleaned. She said she would check and get back to me. She never did. Later that night while making up the beds I noticed that the blanket had a huge yellow stain on it. Called the front desk and they said they would send someone up. They brought me a new blanket and I handed the soiled one to the person and he told me was to busy to take it and to just throw it on the floor, gross. The Wi-Fi is slower than molasses. The buffet is ok, but it never changes. Same food everyday, so be prepared to go somewhere else to eat. Then there is the "1/2 price dining" on the back of your show ticket, Some of the show tickets have a buy 1st adult buffet at regular price and receive 2nd adult buffet at 1/2 price. So I took my ticket and ordered two buffets, they wanted two tickets with the coupon on the back. That is not what the coupon says, they just argued with me and said "that's the way it is". Very deceptive promotion and false advertising.

Poor service.. not worth the money. Staff inefficient and rude. Water park away from everything. Cold with wet kids having to run to crowded parking lot. Asked for wheelchair accessible room. Was placed on the farthest room. Air conditioner under table. Outdated.. got hit on the side by a car door opening at the lobby door. Bruised on my right side. Lobby waiting was chaotic and slow. Didn't get key til after 5pm. Even though we prechecked in. Wasn't impressed with the water park. For the money you would think you'd get more. Kids running and no one stopping the ruff housing. Will advise parents of special needs children to go somewhere else. I will never go again. I work at UCP and highly do not advise staying here. Only good note.. the comedy show was great. P.S. the arcade sucked!

Arrived on Sunday afternoon about 3:00...stood in line for over an hour and a half to check in. Small lobby, unorganized line, and staff would disappear from behind the desk for several minutes at a time. Suggest putting up ropes to instruct guests were to stand or line up to prevent line jumpers, and suggest faster check in service and organization. Otherwise, room was clean, pool area was nice, etc.

I'm rating this a 3 because of 2 reason: very very slow check in. We got there early and checked in but room wasn't going to be ready until 3-5 which I was under impression check in was 3pm the room wasn't actually ready until 530 so we came back up to front desk and waited in line for 1 hour to just get our key. Kids were annoyed and so was I, thankfully I have a patient husband. Reason 2 is I saw an ant on my headboard so if course I couldn't sleep very well :( however I do have to say the water park was very fun for the kids...my 5 and 7 year old had a great time. For being indoors there's quite a bit to do. There's also a little restaurant in the water park for small snacks and drinks. After the water park we ate at the buffet which was also good with quite the variety. Finally we went to the fun park which had indoor go carts, I didn't go bc I'm pregnant but they weren't very fast and there was a worker standing on a rock controlling the electric carts and slowing them down when needed which was pretty lame. Overall we had fun and may go back but I may try another one first.
