Self paced tour. Was crowded but that was due to it raining and everyone looking for some where to go inside. Love that you can take pictures with the statues. Some props are included.

"Was Museum did not disapoint"
Reviewed October, 2015
Its been about 4 years since I was last at the Museum. I enjoyed it then, so I decided to take my family. And they were impressed with the life like wax figures. They took pictures with almost all of them in the museum.
Tip: If you buy your tickets from branson reserve, you have to print your tickets and bring with you. Make sure to bring a camera with lots of empty space. You'll need it to take a lot of pictures.

"Great attraction!"
Reviewed July, 2015
We are 2 women in out late 50's on a trip to Branson. We enjoyed the Hollywood Wax Museum. A lot of the figures looked real and it was really neat to be able to stand next to or sit next to the statues. It was real nice to go at your own pace and many many statues to see. It brought back many of memories of old movie stars especially John Wayne. I do scrapbooking and took so many pictures, it is nice to see all the stars in my scrapbook.
Tip: You can go at your own pace and I would think younger kids might get bored as there are so many older stars they would not recognize.

"Mingle with the stars!"

My husband and I were entertained, but our 6 year-old was not as interested due to not knowing who most of the "people" were. Taking silly photos helped amp up the fun.
Tip: When posing with Hugh Hefner, don't forget your purse under the bed. I did!

"Good once."
Reviewed February, 2015
Wasn't really enough exhibits to be worth the cost of tickets, but neat to see once anyway.
Tip: Plan extra activities because this one is pretty short.

"Be a Star!"

If you’ve never met a photo op you didn’t like, then visiting the Hollywood Wax Museum is for you. I consider myself quite the ham, so being able to take up-close photos with the various wax figures in the museum was a lot of fun. Want to pose like a playboy with Hugh Hefner? Or maybe take a bite from Forrest Gump’s box of chocolate? Or sail away with Jack from the Titanic movie? You can do all that and more at the Hollywood Wax Museum Branson.

Kids enjoy touring the museum, too, as they can act out scenes from their favorite movies. Just be sure to skip the Hall of Horrors exhibit as it’s frightening to even this full-grown adult.

Even though I had a lot of fun at the museum, goofing off and taking photos, the museum could stand to be a bit bigger and newer wax figures wouldn't hurt either.
Tip: Be sure to bring a camera to capture all your poses with these wax celebrities!

"My wife and I had a blast!"

My wife and I felt like kids again. There are 4 places here you can visit. You can buy an all access pass or just go to one if you want. There is the Wax museum, which was just really fun. There is the Chaos Castle. It's a 5D thrill ride/show. It's a 3D interactive shoot em up spookie ride. When I say ride you get strapped into a large platform that spins around and has multiple interactive screens. It's not for the faint of heart. My 9 year old daughter was scared and hated, while my wife and I wanted to go again. There is also a mirrored maze area and lastly a outdoor mini golf area. We really enjoyed it!!

"Who are these people?"

Ok my fair and honest opinion Just by the ticket for castle chaos and skip the rest... If it was a little or better half price, it might almost be worth it, but my problem is...if there wasn't signs saying who some was, I wouldn't have a clue who they were... Seriously some were that bad...John Wayne looked closer to George burns.. Now the castle, it's worth the 15 fact we went back and did it again

"Props need cleaned."

I noticed that a lot of the props were dirty and had been damaged. I can imagine that a lot of people use these for their photos so it would be a good idea to clean them up.

"A bit pricey for the time/experience"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5
Reviewed May 25, 2016 NEW

It was a pretty average experience, but for more than an average amount of money. We only attended the wax museum (not the Hall of Mirrors or mini-golf...which add to your cost), and it took barely an hour to walk through (including time to dress up in the props & take pictures - which was a fun touch, I will say that much). My kids are 10/under, and they honestly didn't know hardly any of the people presented. Of all of our activities in Branson, this is probably the one that leaves me shaking my head a bit that we spent that much money on it. I personally don't find the wax all that life-like...if anything, they look like corpses, but that's just a personal opinion. If you're on the fence, you might look into something else.
