This is a very extensive museum. Each room is dedicated to a past war or conflict. Walls have the names of those that were killed in action. I found several friends & relatives listed. There are uniforms and equipment that was used. Even had a gas mask for the horses. Very well worth the time. Make this a must do!

While in Branson for a Military Reunion -Viet Nam Dog Handlers Assoc. I saw the museum on my way in but it closes at 5 I went back the next day and as I toured the exhibits starting in WW1 and a little prior, I met up with veterans from all Navy, Army and USMC, I was the Air Force contingent. I got the same solemn feeling I get whenever I'm in a museum. These are not just sets of clothes and weapons, they are a testament to what great accomplishments have been made, horrors witnessed and sacrifices endured by our military. This museum, while small, has the actual uniforms of individual Soldiers, Sailors, Airman and Marines many with bio sheets detailing their lives and unfortunately sometimes their deaths. This trip was more poignant because of the presence of my fellow veterans who pointed out particulars on some equipment not written on the displays. I saw a Vietnamese soldier display with bicycle, AK, and a hatchet. The fellow next to me, an Army Infantry Patrol Scout Dog handler mentioned that he took one very similar off an enemy he killed. I'm a veteran, but not a Combat veteran. We hold those who 'go downrange' in high regard. As if to cast aside any doubt as to his bona fides, he rolled up his sleeve and showed me entry and exit wounds, long since scarred over from the fight. t then hit me that I could just as easily have been standing besides the owners of any of the uniforms reverently displayed there. It is absolutely worth going to. Branson is America in a nutshell and this museum is a snapshot glimpse into our struggles to remain free.
