Today we had the privilege of visiting the Veterans/ WWII museum in Branson, Mo. I highly recommend seeing this tribute to all service veterans. There were many artifacts, interesting stories, and an air of reverence for all who have served. One can't say "I enjoyed" this type of museum because of the reason the museum exists.... to thank and honor those who have served and those who have sacrificed. One easily leaves the museum somber but appreciating our military. Would I recommend this museum...? Definately. Is it appropriate for children... absolutely. Will I return to see again... yes. I have gone to similar museums in large cities like Washington, D.C. and Honolulu which did not match up to this. A definate see in Branson.

The Veterans Memorial Museum offers an insight into life in the military through the years. For those who served in the military, as my husband did during the Vietnam War, it brings back many memories. There is a Huey Helicopter like the ones used in Vietnam sitting in front of the Museum,

Sons are very interested in ww1 and ww2. They have a lot of uniforms and some of the smaller gear from these days. It takes about 1-2 hours to get through the museum. If you have ever been to the one in New Orleans no comparison but they have a good start. It was a dreary day and perfect to attend on that day. Interesting for the boys. Good to see at least once while in Branson. I hear that they do continue to change exhibits to keep it interesting for repeat travelers.
