"Awesome!"
June, 2016
This was a special place in which we took our granddaughters. They had fun doing the bamboo maze. Then we went into the butterfly area. At first they were scared of the butterflies landing on them on the nectar, but as time progressed they warmed up. It was beautiful and even us adults had a blast. Such beautiful butterflies with exquisite colors. Would highly recommend. There is no time limit as to how long you stay with the butterflies. We also stayed and participated in the release of new butterflies.
Tip: Be aware the area where the butterflies are is not air conditioned. It is very hot and humid inside.

"Butterfly Palace - Wings of Wonderful!"
June, 2016
The Butterfly Palace was a perfect place to take our 7-year-old granddaughter. We all enjoyed the amazing beautifully colored butterflies fluttering about, landing to sip nectar, the birds singing in the tree branches overhead and gorgeous orchids.
Plus the online reservation and voucher process went perfectly?! Better than Expedia
Tip: Get there at least an hour or more before they close.

"Family Favorite"

This is one of my daughter's favorite places in Branson. If you enjoy photography, prepare to spend some time in the live butterfly portion of the palace. The Butterfly Palace is also beautiful during the Christmas season and includes "living" angel statues, poinsettia trees, and all-white butterflies.
Tip: Call ahead to see when they will be releasing butterflies. They allow visitors to help release butterflies for their "maiden" flights.

This was a random stop for our family but turned out to be one of the better ones. The butterfly experience was very cool and the gift shop is huge. The mirror maze was also quite a blast.

High on a hill above Highway 76 stands Branson's Butterfly Palace, the majestic home of the most magnificent collection of butterflies in the Midwest. It's a beautiful place where visitors can walk among thousands of tropical rainforest butterflies, imported from butterfly farms around the world, and experience their beauty and freedom while learning about their life cycle and ecological importance. Upon entering the climate-controlled butterfly habitat, staff members give visitors vials of nectar and silk flowers to carry with them as they walk along the tree covered pathways. A Scarlet Mormon landed on my flower and stayed there the entire time I explored the live butterfly exhibit. As I prepared to leave, another staff member checked me for hitchhikers and took my vial with the Scarlet Mormon still attached. There are many other things to see while in the Butterfly Palace. You can watch the educational videos in the theater and then go through the Emerald Forest Mirror Maze and visit the Rainforest Science Center and Great Banyan Tree Adventure. The Base Camp Gift Shop is a great place to shop for butterfly souvenirs, fair trade items, and much more.

You get a vial with a silk flower filled with sugar water to walk with - Kinda neat to have butterflies flexing their wings a foot from your eyes. I was there for the pet-a-critter moment too - only 10:30 and 2:30.

I've never been to an interactive butterfly place before but I highly recommend this experience to all ages. You get to walk among butterflies that actually land on you or the flower like pod you carry that has sugar water in it. They didn't tell us to squeeze the flower pod but if you get the flower wet, the butterflies land on it to feed. I can't express how awesome it is to have them fluttering around you. They were also on the flora around the facility. Kids seemed to enjoy the experience a lot too. Orchids were growing all over which added an extra beauty to the experience. There was also an area with lizards and frogs that were very interesting. One lizard seemed to enjoy hearing voices and climbed up the wood to be closer to our voices. We talked to him for a long time since he seemed to enjoy it so much. It's a tropical setting so it's extremely warm inside. If you go to Branson, visit the Butterfly Palace. They check your "flower" on the way out and mine actually had an egg on it! I'm not normally this excited about an attraction but this is a must see place.
