Golf course architect, Chuck Smith and course collaborator, PGA commentator and golf professional, Bobby Clampett designed the Payne Stewart Golf Course and have made it a superb golfing experience for players of all levels.

The course meanders through lush, mature trees while passing by several lakes that come into play on multiple holes, and experiences significant elevation changes as it plays through the hills and valleys of the southwestern Missouri countryside. The topographic challenges encountered during the design of the course gave way to the esthetically pleasing beauty of the dogwoods and redbuds that dot the landscape. The course is a work of art and deserving of the Payne Stewart name, according to Bobby Clampett, course collaborator and PGA Professional.

"Mr. Smith and Mr. Clampett have designed an outstanding golf course, the owners are providing first class amenities and the Hilton staff will provide a level of service equal to other nationally recognized high-end private golf facilities," stated Director of Golf, T.J. Baggett.

In addition to the top-quality course, the club offers a practice area including a driving range (opening in 2010), and recreational amenities such as tennis and swimming. The clubhouse features a full-service golf shop, fully appointed men's and women's locker rooms, lounge, restaurant, exercise facilities and meeting rooms. The clubhouse and surrounding facilities are built with Old English style and modern technology, taking into account the charm, culture and architectural subtleties of the natural landscape.

Branson Creek Golf Club Named One of America's Top Golf Courses

Golf Magazine, one of the world’s most respected periodicals for golf enthusiasts, announces in its September 2008 issue that Branson Creek Golf Club, located in picturesque Ozark mountains of southwest Missouri, has been named as one of the ‘Top 100 Courses You Can Play’ in 2008-2009. Featured at number 76, Branson Creek is making its third consecutive appearance on the prestigious Golf Magazine list.

Branson Creek Golf Club is managed by Scottsdale, Arizona based Troon Golf®, the world’s largest golf management company with international offices in Australia, Hong Kong, Switzerland, and Dubai. Founded in 1990, Troon Golf overseas operations for more than 200 courses located in 31 states and 31 countries. Thirty-six Troon Golf facilities have enjoyed a ‘Top 100’ ranking in various categories by national or international publications.

Mark Ophoven, Branson Creek Golf Club’s General Manager & Director of Golf shared, “The kinds of accolades that we have received through the years from entities in the industry such as Golf Magazine, have helped confirm that our mission to create spectacular golfing experiences at Branson Creek is on target. I am proud of each and every member of our dedicated team at Branson Creek and Troon Golf®.”

The list of awards received by Branson Creek Golf Club is lengthy. It was named by Golf Magazine and Golf Digest as one of the ‘Top 10 New Courses in the Country’ in 2000. In its May 2001 issue, Golf Digest also named Branson Creek Golf Club the ‘Top Public Golf Course in Missouri’. In March 2002, Golfweek named it the ‘#1 Public Course in Missouri’. Golf Digest currently ranks Branson Creek #60 on its list of ‘Top 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses in America.’ Travel and Leisure Golf Magazine said Branson Creek is one of the ‘Top 100 Courses Under $100’ and the ZAGAT Survey named Branson Creek as one of ‘America's Top Golf Courses'.

Within a day’s drive of fifty percent of the nation’s population, Branson Creek Golf Club is considered by many as the centerpiece for golf in the heart of the country as evidenced by Midwest Living Magazine’s award naming Branson Creek as the 'Best of the Midwest'.
Designed by legendary golf course architect Tom Fazio, Branson Creek features a challenging seven thousand yard, Par 71 championship layout, with 5 sets of tees, etched into the magnificent Ozarks landscape with a view second-to-none.

“When you play Branson Creek, the rest of the world disappears. You can’t see the other holes, or houses, or cars- nothing encroaches on your experience. Golfers are entirely immersed in the natural setting of beautiful rolling hills and native trees. Seven holes have water features, including creeks, waterfalls, and two small lakes” Ophoven says. ‘To be able to enjoy high-quality golf like this, just a few miles from the heart of Branson, is an amazing thing.”
